I love that the mayor's hand is on and slightly above Conan's belt, but on the podcast Conan has talked several times about how high his legs go and how he sags his pants to make his legs look less long, so the mayor really was being a grab-ass

WOW, that woman compared Conan to Sanma and Tamori. That is a HUGE freaking compliment. In Japan there are what are considered "The Big Three" in Japanese comedy - Sanma, Tamori, and "Beat" Takeshi (the same guy that made Takeshi's Castle and starred in all of those amazing yakuza films, Takeshi Kitano). That's an impressive group to be compared to.

the way things are going, USA and japan could merge into 1 country in few decades. there are already many people in USA who absorbed anime culture, and many people in Japan who are addicted to American entertainment.

@@belalabusultan5911 ??? also i wouldn’t say addicted. for most japanese ppl, american entertainment/media is a hit or miss... sometimes we like them, sometimes we don’t. i remember months back, the new marvel comics trended here for all the wrong reasons. they were clowning on it, saying how ugly the aesthetics are. they were also shitting on fortnite, the last of us 2 (actually mostly western games in general, there’s a bunch of forums dedicated on shtting on it), and there was even a poll asking, “what anime/manga would you like Hollywood to make a live action of” and the top answer was “None.”

Japanese and American humor is generally pretty compatible since both focus on absurdism. The main difference is Japanese humor leans more towards being “weird” while Americans lean towards “crazy”. You could even see it in the video, Japanese dude plays grab-ass while the American screams “I AM YOUR NEW GOD”

It's referring to the other Conan, the detective Conan, since he "should" be the only Conan. It's a joke, I'm sure they understood it with the context. Also, it's japan where the only true god concept isn't really that significant and people aren't insulting your religion constantly that your god is "wrong" god. If you did that in places like Middle East, or India where religion is a sensitive topic and people have been insulted with the "only true god" concept, I'm sure people wouldn't be so comfortable laughing at that even with the context, and even if it came from Conan. But I'm sure Conan is smarter than that and would take it into consideration before entering the country or engaging with the people.

Well, there are actually even people who arrive in Austria and then realizing, they actually wanted to travel to Australia(!) on a regular basis. ;) (In this case, both airports are really close to each other anyway, so a search engine might just have suggested it as an alternative and as a Western guy, you don't really get the differences in names that sound similiar).

I am saying that the reason I found out who Conan o Brien was because I was searching for detective Conan videos on KZfaq and in the search I found o Brien as well. I haven't watched detective Conan from it's debut but I have watched a bit when I was a kid of about 10-12 I think(maybe younger),and then I started watching it again this year (I am 20 now)
