You are right, but this is not the case for Concavenator. The specimen is one of the best preserverd specimens of dinosaurs here in Spain, and the skeleton was found fully jointed in one single rock. It is 100% not a chimera.

@@angelamengualcortinas3614 I wasn't implying it was a chimera, merely that we can't, based off one specimen, know if its a new species or a variation on an existing species. Given that many species of living creatures have major differences between sexes, and differences between ages (Stygimoloch, Draco Rex, and Pachycephelasaurus, EG), if we only have one specimen, we shouldn't claim its a new species.

@@Kilthan2050 That's untrue. There's more than enough unique characteristics in Concavenator to claim that is a unique species. The first of which is the lack of carcarodontosaurians in the northern hemisphere. The comparision with Dracorex is not valid because there's literally no other known species we can compare Concavenator to claim that is a variation of another dinosaur. Of course, there's the possibility of new findings in the future of carcarodontosaurians similar to Concavenator in the northern hemisphere that could belong to the same genus, but that genus would still be Concavenator since is the first name an animal of those characteristics had.
