Concealed conduction is the phenomenon of partial penetrating of a cardiac impulse through any part of the conduction system of the heart. This phenomenon often is misdiagnosed; so, management of patient may be inappropriative.
In this video, concealed conduction only of premature ventricular complex in the atrioventricular node are described.
In the case of concealed conduction of premature ventricular complex, the impulse originated from the ventricle spreads toward the atrioventricular node retrogradely, it may depolarize the lower part of the atrioventricular node, but the impulse cannot be conducted to the atria. In spite of the impulse incompletely penetrate into a part of the atrioventricular node, it changes electrophysiological properties of the atrioventricular node. It can manifest in prolonged atrioventricular conduction or failure to conduct the next impulse.
