Something fun is that I got into Yakuza BECAUSE of Project X Zone 2. Because why the hell are these two relatively normal dudes involved? And why do they know Phoenix Wright? And then I proceeded to have them always kick the shit out of Metal Face just because they can and I love the imagery of it.

The game might be weird and bizarre, but Project X Zone is Amazing, it’s fun and enjoyable. Plus that soundtrack is Outstanding!

Personally I want it to be a bit of a running gag where Chun-Li is never paired up with a Street Fighter character. To keep this up, she teams up with a different company character per game. If it were SEGA I think it'd be Akiyama from Yakuza, as they're both high flying fast kickers, or Samus from Nintendo.

Oh boy get ready, cause this is gonna be an incredibly long comment! Now, there is actually an in-between point after Namco X Capcom but before Project X Zone. That being the Super Robot Wars Endless Frontier duology, which was a Super Robot Wars OGs spin-off where Reiji, Xiamu and KOS-MOS apoear. And NO JOKE, there is a single line of dialogue from Namco X Capcom's main villain Saya in Endless Frontier EXCEED, that ends up becoming the main plot of Project X Zone 2! And of course, Super Robot Wars itself is a crossover even more massive than Smash Bros. Featuring every gianr robot anime you can think of, with an incredibly detailed and well thought story to boot! Though I will say, Namco X Capcom is not exactly for everyone. While there is the matter of the fantranslation being a bit wonky (With quite a few spelling errors and odd grammar) there is also the matter of alot of the characters in the game leaning VERY HEAVILY on the obscure side. On top of the reasons that you mentioned, another thing that makes the possibility of a real Project X Zone 3 happening is that the game's director left Monolith Soft. This may be just my opinion, but I feel like calling Reiji and Xiamu "One-Note" does one hell of a disservice to Shinra's Top Agents (Not the FF7 one!) While I would be happy with X and Zero coming back, I would also like for them to return Megaman Volnutt. For crying out loud! Back in Namco X Capcom Legends and Xenosaga took place in the same world! I would at least be happy to know that there is at least ONE continuity where Volnutt managed to get off the moon! On the Dot Hack team, even though I also don't know too much about it. I think a nice alternative would be to pair up Haseo with his girlfriend Atoli. While I agree with Velvet being a good companion for Yuri, I would personally prefer another Tales MC. My personal choices would be either Cless from Phantasia (Cause he is the OG, and because I am fond of him.) or Kyle from Destiny 2 (As a sort of Legacy Character to reference his dad and mom being playable characters in Namco X Capcom.) I would personally prefer getting Shulk over Fiora here, I really think the Heir To The Monado deserved to throw hands along with the other characters. Along with the interactions. While I agree that Bayonetta is a good idea, I kinda wanted to go with a more unlikely choice for Dante's Partner. Naoki "Demifiend" Kashima from Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne. With the whole "Sega = Atlus" thing, while I can deal with P5 being heavily advertised once again. I also want to see Dante and Demifiend fight together again side-by-side. I would personally choose Yu and Yosuke over Joker and Ryuji, but that is just me having a bias for 4. I really don't know how to feel about Edelgard being a playable character.... And partnering with Dimitri, I would rather replace her with Female Byleth but that's just me. Aty's inclusion makes me feel somewhat petty, that the PS1 and PS2 Summon Night games have no proper English translations as of now. I will agree with what some others think, and I think Sonic should be a fully playable character. Regardless of being a far more cartoony looking character. I am not 100% sure on who could be his partner though. I think we should stick with Segata, I heard his son doesn't quite live up to his father's legacy. The way Soulcalibur was treated not only in terms of characters, but also the story is kinda baffling. The only playable Soulcalibur characters in Namco X Capcom are Mitsurugi and Taki. And even though a pretty significant portion of the game revolves around the heroes and the villains fighting to try to get the Soul Edge, not only it ends up becoming a wild goose chase. With the Soul Edge just disappearing with no one being able to catch it. But neither the Soul Edge's wielder Nightmare, nor the avatar of the Soul Edge itself Inferno. Ever make an appearance! Which was such a missed opportunity! To be honest, I would really love if all of the Devil May Cry material came from 5. With Nero being playable as either a solo unit or a partner. Its really weird how Akuma's appearance in Namco X Capcom doesn't really have a proper climactic final round, after he performs the Shun Goku Satsu on M. Bison (Referencing his debut) he is just... Gone from the story. Namco X Capcom actually had BOTH mass produced Huitzils and Jack Robots as enemies! And finally, on my part. One pair unit I would like to see is Alledy Nash and Neige Hausen from Endless Frontier EXCEED, cause I was really disappointed that PXZ2 had no content from Endless Frontier. Even though it pretty much it owes its gameplay to Endless Frontier. EDIT: September 3, 2021. There was an addition that I forgot to mention, Kogoro and Mii. The protagonists of PXZ1. Who were not that well liked, but rather than trying to make them better in the sequel. They were completely out of the story in the 2nd game. They are mentioned like... Once, but they never show up on-screen! I really wish more was done with them!

Honestly, I would like a spinoff of it, being a fighting game based on Pokkén Tournament. The game can be a great basis for being a fighting game, just add a charcter switch function and add in more moves for the Field Phase, and it's a fighting game that still feels like Project X Zone, to an extent. I've actually been making my own concept on an online fanon wiki called Fantendo, but the problem is I have a tendency to restart things A LOT, so bc of it, only one section is meaty. Honestly, I think i'd like the Demitri and Morrigan pairing in Pxz2 to remain ig. 1. The Midnight Festival skill is just absolutely cool. 2. They actually both play 2 important roles in their universe (Like what you said, Demitri being the original protagonist of the franchise and Morrigan being the mascot of the franchise) 3. Many people contrasts their relationship to that of Ryu and Ken, if you don't know. 4. You said demoted, right? Then wouldn't that be like a chance for Demitri to shine again in the spotlight? Well… nice video! Nice concept, I must admit. But here's the things I needed to address: To be exact, we've already gone past the 3DS era (of 2012 - 2019). Now that both Project X Zone games are made for Nintendo 3DS, that was being discontinued in 2020 already. Also, technology has progressed in the process too: look at Nintendo Switch (first released in 2017), and compare it to the 3DS (from 2011). You can clearly see the Switch is far more advanced (especially the more recent, higher-end OLED model of 2021) compared to 3DS. Time has changed, guy. Nowadays we can put hundreds of playable characters, like Namco x Capcom that was over 200 characters in total (including enemies) instead of 60-and-some (across about 20-ish units per type, solo and pair) for each of Project X Zone games (not even including the enemy units for PXZ!), and still have better arts, presentations, gameplay and things of sort! (Thanks to the storage, engines and hardware too!) So yeah, there's far less limit to what we can bring for Project X Zone 3! Sub-1GB (of both Namco x Capcom and Project X Zone series, as per the storage size required) is really tiny in comparison to even the (considerably small) 32GB of storage of the base Nintendo Switch! Keep in mind that Project X Zone 3 would be made for both Nintendo Switch family (that is technical homage to the 3DS) and Playstation 5 (that is technical homage to Playstation 2 that was required to play Namco x Capcom), with support for storage far larger than that of either the 3DS family (cards being no further than early one-digit GB range) or the Playstation 2 (DVD = 4.7GB times) though the required storage for each platform differs; not to mention that both Switch and PS5 has far better hardware compared to both PS2 and 3DS, and we can even make the game available both in physical (ROM card/Blu-ray disc) and digital format. Nowadays, it's possible to make a Project X Zone game like no other, even if it played like the two games before it, by having much more characters and still get much better graphics, much better representations and improvement in pretty much every regard, just with massively improved storage and far more powerful hardware. We'll therefore needs at least 10GB to get the concept of Project X Zone to reality… if it's being made ever (all assuming that we're in the era of ninth-generation game consoles, later consoles could be more powerful and larger capacity). Really good, you know that this will be a long concept to address. So yeah, instead of 60-ish playable and some enemies (original characters included) like you decided to, I would need over 1,000 characters, far more than even Namco x Capcom (at least 5 times overall). And that isn't even accounting for enemy characters, because that amounts would help go to the limit of a Switch game cartridge's storage. I would retain the solo/pair unit configurations, maybe even add the team-of-three type unit. By that, I would decide to not just use Capcom, Bandai Namco, Sega (this time including Team Sonic and AM2) and Nintendo (this time with Super Smash Bros.), but I would also add the likes of SNK (of King of Fighters fame), Arika (we need EX and fighting layers to take advantage of Street Fighter too), Atlus (even though you added it too, actually, but there was more), Arc System Works, Team Arcana (lots of Arcana is good), French Bread, Square Enix (for obvious reasons) Gust, Nippon Ichi (You know what? That's the big fat chance for Cross Edge to get back), Idea Factory, Subtle Style (we need more Akatsuki Blitzkampf), Sony (because Playstation All-Stars weirdness, Virtua Fighter and Tekken how, plus kudos to Toro and Kuro for Street Fighter X Tekken), Microsoft Studios (why, Shinra should want to meet Steve and see both Isabelle and Doom Guy hanging up), PlatinumGames, Warner Bros./NetherRealm Studios and Cartoon Network (neither maniacs nor fatalities should be? We think not!), Marvel (vs. Capcom lol, now we'll be bringing both the comics and the MCU to the mix), DC Comics (Amalgam Universe should return), Tatsunoko, Konami (too bad WorldTV wasn't so good back then), Hudson, Takara Tomy, Fox/20th Century Studios (to bring back the X-Men for the games), Disney (once again, for obvious reasons), Nickelodeon (Nicktoons for good measure, 'cause we can nowadays), Dengeki Bunko ("no" but we need Denshin and Zetsumu and the void back), and among others (Ex: I gonna include the studios behind Star Wars: Vision, because not just these are responsible for handful of good-looking animes, but also they're good special choices for this game; don't forget the Bandai Namco's "Banpresto" and Nintendo's Monolith Soft...). And finally, we needed Ravex, Umbra and XX (of BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle) together, so we're also adding Osamu Tezuka lots (one more company that's in the mix now), Roster Teeth and Shonen Jump lots too, homaging both art exhibitions, mangas and animes and such crossover fighting game, while furthermore (dash!) to make it more interesting. So yeah, it's long, and there should be at least but not much more than 40 studios/companies, so 40-50, 10-12.5 times the amount of companies represented in Project X Zone 2 (that's basically Namco x Capcom x Sega featuring Nintendo). So the playable characters, based on various studios and companies I just mentioned, should be good for at least 1,000 playable characters (and few thousands of enemy units to back it up), spanning considerably more franchises and metaseries than the total number of characters there is in Namco x Capcom (over 200)! The full roster alone would pretty much contribute to pushing the storage (especially on Nintendo Switch) to the practical limit (less a problem for Playstation 5, but still…), and we also needed to accommodate various things (fanservice included). There are some good reasons to why the roster is so insanely large: - As already stated above, it's now possible to fit more characters and better things into a game, since there's now larger storage and more powerful hardware (with better optimization) to begin with. (We'll need at least 10GB of storage for Project X Zone 3 for Nintendo Switch to make it possible) - I wanted to make the experience more exciting and bigger, so in order to achieve that, I would optimize how the cast would react (example: putting a fan-favorite character to fight against the hated one, such as Taki vs. Natsu per Namco's Soul series), and make a large roster with a good storyline and gameplay to match. It's possible to stuff both abnormally large roster (including over a thousand of playables) and sophisticated gameplay and story into 10+ GB of storage, while being small enough to fit into Switch's internal storage. There needs to be a lot of work, requiring that many studios mentioned, though that should be worth the effort. (Note: we don't accept any excessively NSFW/18+ form of sexual things though. We have to tame some things too) - A lot are from very popular household-like (Shonen Jump, Street Fighter, Tekken, Sonic series, Smash Bros., French Bread nowadays, etc.) to unpopular and obscure (a handful of Tezuka, some classics, etc ), from fan-favorites to hated things (a handful of hated characters would become rivals upon meeting), should be forced to be put into a massive rift of some sort, together… You know the idea. (Also above) - Larger roster with several purposes would be really fun. (And remember Namco x Capcom? That was going to be a Namco-only crossover of a hundred characters, per the proposal from Monolith Soft, but Namco felt dissatisfied with it and felt like more experience with larger roster is needed, so they collaborated with Capcom) I get that Project X Zone is bizarre and weird, and probably sound dumb to you, especially if the roster becomes abnormally large like I proposes, that's fine because it's meant that way. I found that by having an abnormally large roster, it's possible to help push the limit of storage quickly, wasting as little required storage as possible, all while becoming far more fulfilling and for a much more exciting experience if implemented correctly. So overall, I would add the studios mentioned and some to get somewhere between 40 and 50, and I take some advantage of larger storage capacity compared to prior, by adding an abnormally large roster and optimizing the reactions and interactions between characters, based on both the fans' opinions, the popularity and the games they appeared in, among other things. I would complement with a more sophisticated storyline and much improved gameplay, still familiar for Project X Zone (and thus Namco x Capcom), but with improvements. Since KZfaq only allows for 10,000 ASCII-characters and emojis per comment/reply (not to be confused with the roster!), I will reply to it by examining your choices. So yeah, my concept addressing continues in the replies.

Finally a video that recgonize this game, i was thinking about a project x zone 3 recently, i think you have really good points, and i pretty much agree with almost everything you said. this was a great video, i loved the concept. but... i don't completely agree with a project x zone 3 only featuring sega, namco and capcom, i think there should be more, or at least, even if project x zone 3 would only have these 3 companies, there could be DLC expansions to this game, with more companies, the new companies to be featuring in, that i would choose, would be: Konami, Square Enix, SNK, Koei Tecmo, Arc System Works and Microsoft, as weird as it sounds, yeah, a western company, in a mainly eastern crossover game, i think having some western characters would help the game to be more popular in the west, which is always a good think, and microsoft is no strange to crossovers with other games. i also have reasons why the other companies would get in this game: Konami seens to be open to get their ips in other games, konami was ok to have their characters in smash, and gave a lot of liberty for the smash team on using their ips. Square Enix had their characters featuring in smash too, and had crossovers with tekken before, so there might be no issue with getting some of their characters in project x zone, SNK was feature in a lot of crossovers, their own KOF mobile game have crossovers with capcom, namco and sega, and a lot of other companies and characters including... JOHN CENA? yeah... SNK... have weird crossovers, they seen to be very open about getting characters in smash like konami as well. Koei tecmo was also featured in the KOF mobile game that i mentioned before, and had several crossovers with SNK, so i think it could happen as well, Arc system works have their characters in the KOF mobile game, and had several crossovers with other games, and worked with sega and namco with no issue, so i think all those companies could realistcly happen. and having all those companies in a crossover strategy RPG game on the switch, would be a massive deal for all the companies and fans of those companies. The characters pairs that i would choose to represent those companies would be: Konami: Snake and Raiden, Simon and Ricther Square Enix: Cloud and Sephiroth, Erdrick and Luminary SNK: Terry Bogard and Kyo Kusanagi, i know Andy would make more sense, but i think having the KOF protagonist in this game would be more intersting than 2 fatal fury characters representation-wise, story-wise and Kyo also feels more unique than Andy. Koei Tecmo: Ryu Hayabusa and Kasumi Arc System Works: Sol Badguy and Baiken Microsoft: Master Chief and DoomGuy, Tracer and Fulgore. i chose those characters to represent the companies that microsoft own, Bethesda, Activision-Blizzard and Rare. I just choose a few characters because some of those are already in smash, so they are no-brainers, also to not make the quantity of characters be too big. even though i'm being ambicious, i'm trying to be kinda realistc.

One thing you didn't note is that each company had one series with four characters, and it was always the biggest series represented: Tekken, Street Fighter, and Sakura Wars.

The way I did make a list of like 30 pairs and 30 solo units for like- 90 characters. So yeah it’s a lot but like…some Nintendo and Sega characters included would be so fucking awesome.

So my own choice for a Persona 5 Pair & Solo unit were actually Akechi and Yoshizawa, from roughly around the 3rd Semester. They're searching for Joker, who they do eventually find and he becomes a Solo Unit. The is mainly due to the fact we never see Akechi & Yoshizawa interact too much in P5R and I would love to see their super move be a Showtime style attack! Oh also, here's a fun idea for a new series to include in this game: 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. It's just so good, and having another Giant Robot series show up in this game would just be stellar.

I would only make one change to your list. Instead of the reaper from Persona 5. Put in Demi-Fiend from Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne. Persona is a spin-off of Shin Megami Tensei. So makes sense parent and child would have it out. Plus, in Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne's True Demon Ending. Demi-Fiend becomes a character who wants to destroy all of existence and stop the ever-looping cycle of death and rebirth to universes. He would be an amazing boss fight. Plus, he could have very interesting dialogue with Dante considering Dante and Demi-Fiend did meet in Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne.

As much as I'd understand why you think Sonic shouldn't be a solo unit, I still think Sonic would probably be one of the new Solo Units for SEGA. I mean come on, it's Sonic The Hedgehog, he's the face of SEGA for crying out loud, ether that or make Sonic apart of a Pair Unit with Tails, Knuckles, or Shadow to match up with Mega-Man X and Zero. Speaking of Mega-Man, I would love to see Classic Mega-Man or even Mega-Man EXE from Mega-Man Battle Network, since those 2, are the other Most Famous Mega-Man Games out there. With Classic Mega-Man being LEGENDARY, while Mega-Man EXE comes from A Stradigy, already. And you don't need to make them solo units, they're cool as a pair... Well you could include Proto-Man as Mega-Man's Partner, and Proto-Man EXE as Mega-Man EXE's Partner, I guess. Wait a minute, I just realize... Sonic, and Mega-Man. My God, it's Perfect! I think Project X Zone 3 should include Mascot Franchises from Namco, Capcom, and SEGA. And to finished all off, Pac-Man, should be a worthy inclusion into Project X-Zone 3, and you could make him a Solo Unit, or make him a Pair Unit, with his partner (and wife) Ms. Pac-Man. But I still think Sonic, Mega-Man, and Pac-Man should be Solo Units. Because it'll probably be the most easy choice. So MetalBlade5, what do you think of the comment

The duos are great picks! Personally for solos I'd bring back Sänger Zonvolt and as a new one Amaterasu from Okami. Also if were turning solos to supers why not throw in a few more odd balls Have Axel from Crazy Taxi take you for a ride or have the King of Cosmos summon an army of Katamari

You really think hard about these things, don't you? Well, it's paid off. You're ideas are pretty solid except for one thing. Sonic HAS to be here. He's literally the face of Sega. I know you said that it would feel a little tonally dissonant with more mature cast with only one more family friendly one, but Sonic has done a few darker stories in the past. Granted, half of them were failures, but it's still possible. As a little fan fiction, I can imagine Sonic appearing in the middle of a brawl; the cast thinking he's reinforcements and attacking him only for Sonic to wipe the floor with ALL of them. Trust me. The Blue Blur's strong enough to do it. I guarantee you.

Sounds good. I do have some gripes. I really do not think Nintendo should vier their ugly heads around this game. 1. Pxz3 should be on all 4 major platforms. Nintendo collabing means switch exclusive, which is bad in 2024. 2. Most of these franchises games don’t often release on Nintendo platforms, especially nowadays. Or at least not at first or a worse version. 3. Nintendo wouldn’t dare support a game that the last two entries didn’t sell super well. If they did, every single aspect of the game would have to go in THEIR favor. 4. Most Switch owners (Tendies aka Nintendo shills), are not too interested in an srpg fighting game hybrid, which is too complex for their bing wahoo minds. I’ll admit this is my anti Nintendo pc master race bias. For character recommendations, would love the Monster Hunter to team up with the Elden Lord. Namco owns Fromsoft btw. The two monster hunting avatars team up to defeat their series bosses. Would love the combat parts to have real fighting game gameplay. Combining two high learning curve genres seems insane. Too complex for Tendies though lololololol.
