I never take the fact I am from the UK and have the NHS but when you watch other people with chronic illnesses worse then I am from the states and them having to battle through insurance it really breaks my heart. You have to pay a fortune for something you didn't ask for.

Sarah Smith I personally haven't had that happen to me yet as I have only been diagnosed in that past year but when I was younger I just got passed from one person to the next and I 100% agree with what you are saying as my mum gets no help at all and it's very frustrating however it's the way it is because of are government they want to privatise it, they've said this openly and people carry on voting for them. We are extremely lucky to have the NHS it's just under funded and a mess at the moment but make the most of it because it'll get worse over the years so they can say the best thing to do would be to privatise it...

gingerhairandpaleskin X Yeah the NHS is a blessing, but also a curse, I've been attempting to get a diagnosis for POTS and anything else that's happen with me for over a year and it's still not even close because even really URGENT appointments take 3 months :((( It's so frustrating so I sorry of wish I was in the US sometimes.

Got to be blessed for the NHS here in the U.K., but won't have it if the tories come in and then we will all have to have insurance! Luckily I'm have insurance, I have had to go private for a gastro doctor because I would of been waiting 20 wks for just a introductory meeting that's not even with bloods hat would be needed etc! 😱

Let's Talk Living I 100% get that they have all the best health care professionals there also, i also think that sometimes if my mum or me was in America yes we may have to pay but we would have better care then here. It's frustrating that you have to wait months for an appointment and then you get there and they can't do anything for you. I get annoyed with people not knowing what I have and I'm sure there isn't many specialists for POTS in the UK? I hadn't heard of it until I started watching the chronic illness part of KZfaq and I am so sorry that you have to live your life like that it's disgusting that people who need help and answers just can't get them unless you go private of course. I hope that you are getting some help at least and I hope you soon get diagnosed and the help that you need. Again I'm so sorry you have to go through that, I know it won't mean much but I applaud you for having the strength you do to keep pushing for answers don't give up that's what they want and you deserve to get to the bottom of this and get help just as much as anyone else! If you ever need anyone to nag to about anything then I'm here I know you probably have people to talk to but sometimes it helps just talking to someone you don't know. I'm rooting for you! X

I work at a Drs office doing prior authorizations for medication. your doc should be able to do an urgent request for the zofran as should have an approval with in 24 hours. Really they would have been able to get the zofran approved with out trying the other if the Drs office would have explained the possible severity of the reaction of a new medication. see insurances has preferred drug lists as that's what they will approve, but if you have medical reason such as severe reactions with new medication they should have been able to discuss this with the supervisor at the pharmacy dept of your insurance to by pass trying the preferred medication first. trust me there is always a way the Dr office can work with insurance as far as prior authorization goes. there is days I spend hours at a time speaking with insurance supervisors to try and get meds approved for patients even on state insurance. I understand the frustration that is insurance because it doesn't always go that way. wish you the best. hopefully you get the meds that work well for you.

My chronic illness is very similar to yours Jacquie. I refuse to take Compozine anymore. Not only did I have extremely bad blurred vision but my body would twitch. So no, you're not crazy! Also, my GP did get very bad as well, my last flare three weeks ago sent me over the edge and required me to get a GJ Tube placed. It's been a blessing. Now I know I'm always getting my guaranteed 1876 calories per day and Mast cell, immunotherapy and allergy meds no matter what. Good luck! Keep your positive attitude!

compazine causes my vision to be very bleary too. just be careful as after a couple days my lips started swelling and now I can't take avnymore. hopefully this does not happen to you too. Your message to the viewers is so correct. Life can change so quickly for chronic patients. One must take the time to enjoy the highs because u never know when the lows are coming. For example, last week, I felt so great and my doctor saw me on Thurs. He said I was the best he had seen me in 2 years then Fri everything went to crap in minutes Saturday he shook his head as he admitted me into the hospital and I have been miserable since trying to get my pain under control. Right now I keep telling myself to hang in there because in 2 weeks I have to be better as I will be on the beach. So I find having something positive to look forward to helps get thru the rough times. Today my Dr laughed and said I simply needed to come in for a battery charge and oil change. Which brings me to my last point. Being around those with a positive outlook and who are humorous helps me thru difficult times. Hugs

I have experienced blurry vision from other medicines I have taken. It tends to last until every bit of the medicine is out of your system and a little longer. Normally improves over time for about 1-2 weeks and then returns to normal :) Definitely talk to your doctor but generally if you are not on the med ling there won't be any permanent damage

If I were you I would weigh my options. There is a website called Good Rx that helps when you're waiting on prior authorizations. I work at Walgreens and try to help out where I can. Let's say you take ondansetron 8mg and you need 30 for the month. Through good rx it's over 100 at walgreens, but at other pharmacies like cotsco it's $20. If you do choose to pay the price at Walgreens, we can bill it again within 10 days if it's approved. If not your insurance should be able to reimburse you. I love your videos! Best of luck 😣💕

Had this idea for a question you might want to cover on your gear video. My dog is becoming my ESA and I'm worried she's not going to do well with a heavy harness on long flights. Can you talk about how long it took to get Harlow used to her gear and how you trained her be comfortable in it? Also what would you consider the difference between service dog gear and ESA gear since I know some handlers get upset when there's not a distinct difference.
@ShadeMiller

ESA's usually don't require heavy harnesses since they aren't used for tasks or anything

I would recommend using light ones instead and just slowly getting the animal used to it being nearby and treating whenever the dog allows it
@Lilee177

I don't think an ESA would require a harness at all. Just somewhere that clearly states their job - that they are an ESA. A simple patch on a bandana or on the leash would be perfectly suitable! If you wish to use a harness, a light one would work perfectly also :)
