„We Are” was writen watching thousands of their fans sending videos about themselves, and Taka said he wants to ‚express feelings of young people steping into adulthood’. And it was a song writen for a choir, OOR invited fans to send tapes about themselves and then choose 1000 fans to perform this song with them, in a televised event (it was part of a celebration of changing voting age from 21 to 18 in Japan).

Taka does all the vocals on the recording version including the screaming. For live shows, Toru and Tomoya often help with the screaming parts to avoid putting too much strain on Taka's vocals during their long tours.

Another thing you might be intrested in, making their online streamed concert during pandemic, they also made a documentary with netflix, it’s easly accessible with english subs. You can get to know the band members, see how they work to preper a big concert, and inbetween learn some history of the band (they have been around since 2005 xd), so perhaps you wanna react to it 😁 or at least watch it before the show, I’m sure you gonna love it xd

Fun Fact: ONE OK ROCK was considered "the monster band" by Japanese media because when they released their fourth album, Niche Syndrome in 2011, which is their comeback album after the departure of their fifth member Alex (ex-lead guitarist)-they instantly made waves throughout Japan and topped Oricon charts (Japan's equivalent of Billboard charts). As an A'TIN and longtime OOR fan, I'm seeing similarities in both groups. Toru and Ken could literally do nothing and they'd still be getting people's attention. 😂 Taka and Pablo are perfectionists, the gears in their heads are always turning when it comes to music. Ryota (Bass) and Tomoya (Drums) are literally Justin and Stell as they're both the sunshine of the group and have contagious humour. I told you you wouldn't regret choosing to know this band! Loving your reactions to them! Another fun fact: Toru used to rap for the band which exists in the first album, Zeitakubyou! The songs he rapped in are "Yume Yume," "Keep It Real," and "P.P.S.H. (Please, Please, Stay Here)".

I Was King (orchestra live), Wherever You Are (mv/ he wrote this for his friend’s wedding), and Wasted Nights (Eye of the storm live). Hope you enjoy even more.. Ambitions Dome Tour was so fun. Even if I was at area Arena B of Yafuoku Dome it's still far from the stage, the stage was MASSIVE. I got goosebumps when I entered Yafuoku Dome, I've NEVER been to such MASSIVE SPACE in my life before and EVERYONE was already SCREAMING HAPPILY inside the venue. I was still shocked walking all the way from the second floor to the bottom of the dome and found my seat. I didn't like the watch light at first cause it felt a little bit uncomfortable but when the show started I regret thinking that immediately since the light effects were beautiful as the GALAXY. The shows were perfect, I went for two days and they got FANTASTIC SETLIST and acoustic live performances. They even played a video which got the live show footages they've had through their history. The last one they played for 2018 was the exact one in my country Taiwan, which was the ONLY overseas footage and I remember crying SO HARD seeing that on my seat. They have a good relationship with Taiwanese fans and they know that MANY Taiwan fans ALWAYS flew around the world to support their tour and they're thankful about it. Ambitions Dome Tour was my personal favorite and the BEST memories of all time without a doubt. I always miss this Tour very much.

concert tip for you: if you're looking at the stage, toru usually stands on the right like he does in the live vids you watched. just in case you want to plan where you're going to stand. also even taka has basically said outright that toru is the visuals of the band LOL

their old music style was different though. Taka voice is so versatile the band basically tackle every single genre, it was mostly rock & pop punk , sometime ballad and acoustic. i recommend a few soft/emotional songs from this band like : "Wherever you are", "Heartache", , "Hard to love", "fight the night" . . . or "personal" song feeling of the band like : " C.h.a.o.s.m.y.t.h" , "Kasabuta", "Pierce" . . . for pop punk and rock/metal i like "Liar" , "The same as" , "re;make" . there are so much gold to dig from this band but that all pop up in my head at the moment, you should check it out. Also since you really like Taka and Toru , pls check out "20/20" live and make sure you don't scream yourself to death, it's quite a fanservice.

Toru rap a very long time ago, when they r still 5 member band, you can watch in two of their old MV: Keep it Real & Yume yume. Now he dun rap anymore, but we can still hear him doing scream and sing along with Ryota and Tomoya during concerts. Hope you enjoy their concert in Sep 😆🙌🙌

I really like this format of reacting to the MV first and then the live. You get the full experience on what makes them great as a band. Very nicely done! It would be great to check out their documentary "Flip a coin" on Netflix before going to their concert, if you have the time.
