This video is taken from the BBC's documentary series 'Planet Earth'.
Concordia is one of the most remote places on earth. It is situated in Baltistan in Northern Pakistan. It has numerous famous, high peaks around it including four 8000 meter peaks (K2, Gasherbrum I, Broad Peak and Gasherbrum II).

I have treaded each and every inch of this glacier. though I turned Right when I hit Concordia. To the left is K2 and to your front is Broad Peak if you are positioned at Concordia. I spent 3 months in this heavenly place living in an artificial igloo. The best adventure of my life.

How did you go about it may I ask? It's always been a dream of mine to go there, but I don't know how.

Dahyo Liu-Lloyd dahyo all you got to do is get in touch with adventure foundation of Pakistan and they'll guide you. Next you have come to Islamabad (capital city ) from where you can catch a plane or a bus to Skardu (hill station at 7000 feet) from there on you'll get a keep ride of 3 hours to a place called Askoley. There on you can only hike or rode a mule. Its worth every twist of your ankle

Dahyo Liu-Lloyd dude adventure foundation Pakistan and other adventure groups like them make groups and take them there. You do not have to go/live alone. You'll be in good company. I suggest you browse pages of these groups on Facebook.

Such a heavenly place on earth. Too bad that that massive Baltoro glacier is receding each year and the fact that we won't be able to witness these otherworldly spectacles of nature - like the ice sheets of Antarctica, the Arctic and Greenland, and the glaciers of the Andes, the Alps and the Third pole, - in their present glory in the future. Their fate is sealed and there's nothing we can do about it except maybe slow it a little.
