What you would have expected is for the CC to stay the execution of its order of course upon the application by Zuma, normally you would have two parts in your application i.e. part A suspension of the order pending hearing and part B dealing with the main application… As for the High Court suspending the order of the CC would be unheard of…

Surely this situation now causes every ruling handed down by the CC to become invalid, as the participants in the previous cases were not granted review, as appears to be the case now? Perhaps those well versed in Constitutional Law would care to enlighten us all?

The analyst is not telling the truth because unprecedented legal process was followed. The mitigation to the sanctions should have come after the judgement. Mogoeng asked Zuma for mitigation to his sentence before the judgement and that is unusual approach by the apex Court. So much has gone wrong with this case because judges are angry and irritated by Zuma. They no longer apply law in their judgements but hatred.

The South African legal system is really maturing now. This is a relief for all citizens, black and white !
