Thanks for these video's, you've inspired me! I'd like to add one note of caution when using the silicone form - if you need an exact size top, make sure you add the width of the form to the dimensions of your box. I made tops for a brick BBQ and wanted a 1/2" over-hang. luckily I realized my mistake while mounting the form and was able to rebuild the boxes to compensate for the form. Thanks again!

Thanks mike for the awesome video. Yet again you never cease to amaze me. This video did answer one of my lurking questions but was wondering if you can advise on the following questions: 1. Rapid set is a Product generally located at Home Depot. As an alternative, could you also use Quikrete concrete mix at HD? 2. What other alternative product instead of Rapid Set Mortar mix at HD could one use? 3. In the event Home Depot is not available or convenient, what concrete Mix and mortar mix could you recommend at Lowe’s? 4. Finally, can the Rapid Set FlowControl and SetControl be used with other products other that Rapid Set, such as Quikrete?

Hey Love the videos! I am building an outdoor kitchen/BBQ area. I would like to do counter top in concrete. Its going to be 10 feet in length and 18 inches wide. Would you use Concrete or Mortar? Also like large concrete projects I was thinking that maybe it would need to be made in sections of 36 inch lengths and then siliconed together leaving a flat edge where each section would meet. Do you have any videos or suggestions for a large project like that? Thanks again for the videos!

I'm a new subscriber to your channel and already a big fan. Very informative videos and entertaining at the same time. I'm in the process of starting to build my own fire table and this live edge is very cool. Due to the cost ($86x2=$172) of the rubber mold featured, I'm going to have to try the chipping hammer technique and hope for the best. When it comes to adding the fire glass, can you use beer bottle glass as a substitute? I'm hoping for a clear sparkling diamond appearance in addition to the blue like you used. What are your thoughts?

Michael, I came across your first video not long after you posted it. Since then, my wife and I have poured vanity and table tops with great success. Nice video as always. Have you tried Stain-Proof Color Enhancing Sealer by DryTreat. They boast a 5 year protection. It is a penetrating sealer and does darken the concrete a bit. It is not a coating and does not really add shine. I was disappointed at the outdoor concrete countertops I had poured. You inspired me to polish them and it turned out great (with a little trial and error). I used this sealer and am exteremly happy with the final result. Thanks for the inspiration! and tutoring!!
