TF Structural is now available on Amazon.
Here we repair a crack, and then overlay a concrete slab, all with TF Structural Concrete Repair mortar. This entire repair was completed in less than 2 hours, and ready for foot traffic less than 1 hour later. In our TF Structural Overlay video (see link below), there was a crack in the slab that the customer was not concerned with. Many questions were asked about repairing the crack, so we made this video to show you one of many methods you can use. Please call us or email for any questions regarding this method or repair product, 1-855-243-8080, info@terrafuse.ca.

My husband is a concrete foreman. I love watching these videos to kind of get an idea of what he does sometimes. They are commercial so they do really large jobs, but again, love watching videos. Tough job, hard on the body especially tying rebar.

Terrafuse is hard to get in the United States. Easier to find something similar at a nearby concrete business. Terrafuse actually suggested I tear out my steps and pour new. It wasn’t anything near the disrepair from this project or other projects I’ve seen on KZfaq.

@TerrafuseInc
@TerrafuseInc Жыл бұрын
Yes, you can use a bit less part B to make it stiffer, but on such a shallow slope, it shouldn't be a big concern. You don't want it so dry that it becomes unworkable. Thanks

Mine garage for was sink from one side quite 3 inch and I just lay on existing floor concrete mix with concert glue and it is fine then on top just put self leveling and it turn out be fantastic. Make sure your buy a lot bad depend on area and mix with extra water like little runny it would be easy to spread. But make sure done it in one job this way you will get slope level to wards drain. Good luck

Looks good! Does the product sold on Amazon work the same as this? Can you use the amazon product as a skim coat for a pitted garage floor, or would the be another product? I notice you do a broom finish almost every time. Does this trowel well to a flat finish, or does it not hold up as well that way? THANKS!
@TerrafuseInc
@TerrafuseInc 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is the same material, and yes, it can be used to fix a pitted floor. The product does trowel out well, but it has no self leveling properties, so it will stay however you leave it with the the trowel. It is very difficult, if not impossible, to trowel it dead flat. Thanks!

My driveway slab has been destroyed because of tree roots. I going to use one of you methods and products to repair the cracks (that are bad) but first I will take a trencher and cut the roots a foot before the driveway slab. The tree needs the roots to stay up so don't just cut a circle around the tree and expect the tap root to hold it up, particularly if it's old growth top root like an oak or some maples. This would be a good suggestion, I think, for people that want to plant trees or keep trees near a foundation or slab. The roots will win, so be smart. Do without the trees.

Depends on the job really, but this material isn’t flexible, and isn’t ideal for crack repair, unless special techniques are used, similar to this video.

Can I pour concrete between my front porch and my front step where the old expansion joint was? The joint is a 1” wide and about 5” deep? I was going to fill it with sand and then the self leveling sealant. What do you think?

Concrete won’t bond to concrete, and if you fill an expansion joint, it will eventually crack out.

The surface can be damp, and you don't want to do it while it's actually raining. Those lower temperatures are no problem, you can even do it below freezing, but need to use different procedures, and use our TF Heat additive to speed up the cure time.

Does this hold up well with a high powered pressure washer? How resistant is it to a harsh industrial environment?
@TerrafuseInc
@TerrafuseInc 4 жыл бұрын
It is similar to concrete with where it will hold up. Harsh industrial environments, with lots of chemical exposure are not ideal. You can still use it for structural repairs, but will need to protect it with a coating afterwards, depending on the environment. It can handle pressure washing, but doing it often will shorten the lifespan.

Hi, I have a outside stair way that is made of block. Over the yrs other owners have skimmed it with some sort of concrete material that is now starting to peel off. I realize that I will need to remove all of it but what I would like to know is how effective is TF on block surfaces and are there any tips on the best way to apply it? Thanks in advance.
@TerrafuseInc
@TerrafuseInc 4 жыл бұрын
It is not the best, as it is very rigid material, and designed to cover solid substrates. Block substrates will have movement between each block, and eventually crack through. If you pour it around 2” thick, you may be ok, like the attached video. Essentially pouring a new stair set over the old one. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hNqIrLt-xM3Od6c.html
