That temp stick needs to be inserted in the concrete 3inches boss.

Yes. I'm aware. That's why this is a "visual demonstration" and there's not enough concrete in the wheelbarrow to account for 3 inch submersion of the temperature measuring device as ASTM C172 requires minimum 1 cubic foot of a composite sample. It's why I also stated to refer to the ASTM standards for specific guidelines.
