I repair a concrete step using cement all rapid set and while it is still wet cover it with mud to stain it to look old. All my videos are my ways and ideas, I always suggest anyone doing any type of work to consult professional help. www.amazon.com/shop/mikehaduck

I love old school way of doing stuff!! Sad those who know the old school ways of trade are few and far apart these days. Especially those like him who not only know the old school ways but have old school integrity!!!! Helped an elderly lady out....don't see that anymore these days with those who care only about money and possessions :(

Thank you! I got more information about the specific repair I need to do from your video than I got from looking at product websites and talking to people in two hardware stores. My nextdoor neighbor’s roofing contractor drove across our sidewalk with his big truck and cracked two slabs. When my husband notified him, he repaired one slab, but his repair was so ugly, I scraped most of it away before it cured. Before he made the repair, when asked, he said he couldn’t color it to blend in with the old sidewalk. And he didn’t finish the edge to line up with the original edge of the slab; he spanned two slabs with his patch.

Thank you so much for this video~! I was able to repair our porch steps using Quikrete and your instructions. It's not as nice as your work, but it only cost $22, including tools =) I used cheap plastic stuff and it worked fine. I'm not going into the business anytime soon - that was really hard work~! Just came over to your channel to see who you were after seeing many comments about you on mine! Thanks for posting videos. These would have been very helpful to me before I did my job. Also I couldn’t help but laugh when the bug was crawling all over your camera lens lol.

Mike - really enjoyed watching this video. Apart from the wisdom you imparted, your humanity shone thru. With all the trolling and gratuitous impertinence on the internet, sometimes you wonder what happened to grace and niceties. Thanks for reminding us that we can help each other.

Thanks much taking the time to make this vid. I learned a lot for the several repairs I must do. The staining was brilliant - yeah it was, although you may think "hey, it's just good work" .
