Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.

Bu sırada, Karadeniz üzerinden içi köle yüklü bir kadırga, İstanbul’a doğru gelmektedir. Kölelerden en ateşli olanı ise, kaderini değiştirecek olan yolculuğa çıktığının henüz farkında değildir. Geri dönmek için çaresiz bir şekilde isyan etmektedir.
Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

She isn't a villain. At all. She was literally forced into this after watching her parents get murdered and then she was sold like a literal piece of cattle. She did what she could to survive

Whatever was the causes but how can a grandmother of her son children's do as such things even if it was of royal life's petty politics. To fall for other Cucubines and family members words even to the extent of lives losing cause of it. It's been a long time since I last watched this show, but if I recall correctly, the sultan was away because of a war and the Valide started using tricks to deny money and luxuries to the concubines. Hürrem was in charge for the treasury and since the luxuries stopped coming, Hürrem took the blame for it.

At least she apologized and admitted that Gulnihal was a better friend than she was. I don't see anyone else actually willing to take blame for their actions or attempt to apologize. Besides, Hurrem had just given birth and was a nervous mess because she can't see Sulieman and then she finds out Maria had been going to him behind her back. I understand that Maria didn't make such a big mistake, she was just worried about Hurrem's reaction. But the fact that she didn't tell her and went TWICE made her paranoid self believe that she was doing it on purpose to take him from her, which is even worse because she trusted her so much. Of course, it doesn't justify it at all. But Hurrem was a rash teenager at the time. Valide sultan is supposed to be wise and calm. She acted like a child and didn't confess to having done that, even though it probably won't hurt her because there was no proof

Terrible?! She is a Sultana, so of course she can do everything she wants, she is freaking Süleyman's wife, of course she can! And in modern days high-status people can do what they want, but of course, there are limits. But in the 16th century there were basically very little limits, especially for a high-status, Sultan's wife, Hürrem Sultan. Jealous? Of who?! Of Ibrahim Paşa who is mentally disabled and kills people to show how "mighty and strong he is"?! Of all the women that slept with the love of her life, Süleyman?! Of who?! She may be selfish at times, but no one is perfect. People didn't like her because from a slave she became a high-status woman, a Sultana, very quickly! And some people (Mahidevran, Ibrahim) were JEALOUS of that!
