Husband appreciates what all I do like house things, cooking behind my back only with his 2 close friend.. Never never said or even a little 1 sweet word to me neither to any of his family member.. Am married for 4yrs now alhamdullilah, having 1 son living in joint family. Totally 10 members. For all 10 members I cook, clean all cooking pots and vessels, sweeping moping, making food all 3 times and taking care of kids.. It's so hectic I get so tired and get severe leg pain or knee pain. But my husband no matter what he would not tell his own sister (married and divorced) to help me or atleast cut vegetables or atleast wash few plates.. Even after doing so many things he blames only me but doesn't utter single word from his mouth towards his own divorced sister or his elder brother wife.. My husband elder brother wife, she too doesn't do anything and since now she is pregnant I don't complain about her.. Since last 2 days my husband not talking to me just bcoz I made simple rice for dinner 2 days before. Since its lockdown, and I had severe leg pain I made simple but nobody had. They said saying they don't eat rice or wheat items at night but its complete wrong they have biryani, fried rice, tomato rice n all.. I got upset even though I had leg pain atleast I made simple rice but they all ordered from online. My husband also got angry on me on this. I got so upset. Since last 2 days he not taking to me and yesterday he had a huge fight with me. I don't know what to do. If it was my mistake then I would surely agree but no its not mine.. My husband always fights with me for his sister, I should not say 1 single word wrong about her though she doesn't work or do anything in home and infact he even knows his sister is not so good character. She is married and divorced her husband within a year. She is 27yr old my husband is 33 and me 28yr old. Father in law too supports her own daughter.. Mother in law expired. Though he doesn't allow her to speak bad about me or disrespect me.. If in any case she says anything wrong he gets angry on his sister. Its like he acts being diplomatic. I shouldn't saying wrong about her and she shouldn't say anything wrong about me and he doesn't take any stand too.. Earlier also my husband had huge fight with me and he had hit me so many many times. I cry and cry alot. Please help me what do I do

Nobody can tell you what to do. Allah already tells you this. He orders men to treat wives with kindness and thats why he allows divorce because sometimes the marriage doesn't work out. Either you choose Allah or culture. Why degrade yourself like this? Just leave and move on even if it may seem hard. Or you can fear divorce and stay in an abusive marriage. This is your struggle. You must make the decision.

Are you saying you are living in sin with your ex husband? If yes, why? If no them consider the divorce a blessing. He released you. He is an adulterer, cheater and not husband material. He didn't ruin your life as much you yourself are by not remwrryinf when Allah encourages remarriage for men *and* women.

You must see an imam and tell him that. You have right in Islam et something doesn’t seem right with your story. Go see an imam now if you live again in this situation.

Hi so sorry to hear about your situation. I am in a very similar situation with you, with a young son too of similar age to yours. I'm trying to gain the courage to go through with the divorce right now. I am Christian but the father is going about his life in very unChristian ways and it really saddens me to be in this position. I liked your comment for both of us, because it is encouraging to know I'm not the only one in this ill-fitted shoe. Been through all this in my family, kids were young. Now they are teens. Their mother did a great job and she says the best thing she could have done is get rid of her husband because that way she had free control to raise them the way she wanted. The kids still saw the father and he wished that he had any importance but got a slap in the face when he saw that the mother gave him no importance, made all the decisions herself despite a court order. All he could do was moan about it.

I’m in the same situation I have a 15 month old son who has heart disease and my husband is cheating 😢 I’m broken.

Sister I've faced the same here but there's so much confusion and problems in my situation including cheating and I lose my confidence and self esteem... now I'm in a journey of healing and left his house with my two children.... currently living in my parents house....I know this is hard I can feel your pain but have faith in ALLAH....be his friend share with him He will guide you.... only he can make your heart stronger He can give you the power of imaan He will heal you and give you so much love... this test was meant to teach us a lesson this duniya is a examination hall...

If you are a new Muslim, you dont need to fight for a marriage just because you are muslim. If you do not get rights that is the only valid reason you have to approach him for a divorce known as a khula.
