in most european countries it is not necessary to signalling when you entering roundabout. You only need to indicate when you exiting (in that direction which country you drive on). I heard that you can get a fine if you do that in Germany, that what I heard.

+Chinabong You have to signal to the left when entering and to the right when about to exit. In the roundabout itself you don't need to signal. If you're in a country where you drive on the left, invert the directions.

+tinimeanie Yes. The thing is, a roundabout is something that you enter, then exit almost right away (in most cases at least). So you should stay in the right lane anyway, it'll make it easier to exit.

Congrats. And yes, exploring the exam zone by bicycle or even foot is a very good idea if you don't have a car.

If you need to almost stop, 1st gear. If you need to only slow down, to let's say 15 / 25 kmh, you can stay in second gear. I'll be doing another video on roundabouts in the next few months.

You shouldn't see it in terms of how many turns. You shouldn't either be focusing on that an d especially not looking at your steering wheel. It's all about vision. I could do 1000 videos on roundabouts and I still wouldn't explain everything there is to explain.

Usually, the vehicle on the right lane is only supposed to be there if he/she wants to exit at the next exit. So you should change to the right lane as soon as possible when you're about to exit.

If you are going straight or left (if it was a normal 4 way intersection) you go in the middle lane, if you are going right you go into the outside lane, obviously left and right would be flipped depending on where you live in the world. The problem where i live is that roundabouts are fairly new and pretty scarce so many people don't know how they work and go into the outside lane when they are trying to go straight or left resulting in people who were in the middle lane being unable to exit. If everyone fully understood how the things worked you wouldn't have to worry at all about exiting from the middle lane since nobody would be in the outside lane at all unless they are already exiting, unfortunately this isn't the case so exiting from the middle lane can often be frustrating and as a result roundabouts end up making traffic worse than a normal 4 way intersection would. I remember when they first started popping up in my state there was one just after exiting the freeway and since so few people knew how they worked they created backups on the freeway that were up to a mile long every single day during morning and afternoon rush hour.

Interesting fact. But again, you say: "Any unnecessary driving". So, going around because you're not sure where to exit, would that be considered unnecessary driving? I mean, it wouldn't be done for the fun of it. It would be done for a purpose.

It is a really vague law, no cop would ever even think about giving you a ticket when you are driving around because you are unsure. this is intended to stop people blocking roads when cruising up and down a block... or doing skids in a roundabout :)
