For the third consecutive year, the Naturgy Foundation and the Elcano Royal Institute organised a conference to analyse the geopolitical implications of the energy transition and explore the global panorama drawn by the transformation experienced in the fields of energy and the environment.
In this session we addressed the potential for energy cooperation in the Eastern Mediterranean, which encompasses the commercial development of the region’s natural gas reserves and renewables, including electricity interconnection projects with Egypt and Israel and European-Egyptian cooperation on green hydrogen, to identify drivers and barriers, as well as the implications for the EU.
