Playing the old card ...lol While I'm 70 and having lived through disco to hip hop and beyond when I saw their interviews here (check em out) and said Talking Heads and David Byrne were a huge influence it clicked why I loved them so much.Not just the quirky videos but the whole performance. Only caught them on Glasto Iplayer but devoured everything I could find everything here and Spotify. I've missed out on some amazing gigs and hope to see them and exhaust myself dancing to them soon.
@nickrobinson83392 жыл бұрын
@@MrAkavet I agree they are brilliant and yes the years are going by too quickly for my liking. Talking Heads were superb as were so many bands over the years. Have a look on You Tube for a band called Sea Surfer and their songs Dragon Song (with the lyrics) and Stay in particular. The female lead singer has a new band called Loveblind which is amazing. They come under the genre of alternative/Shoegaze. Another band called the Fauns from Bristol in the UK is worth a look, especially the tracks Light and Seven Hours, unless of course you hate this type of music. Golden Hair by Slowdive is worth a listen as well. Summer Nights by the band Lighfoils and Slower Now and Pickleplum by another band called Star Horse are worth a listen. I could go on but the You Tube algorithm will start to feed you others. Happy listening.

Absolutely awesome band, I predict big things, saw them live a couple of weeks ago and they blew the roof off the place, have to say the later studio didn't do them too many favours (crowd behind them), other bands except Warmduscher were much quieter. They benefit from a crowd to feedback the energy, something odd in Sugar's vocal as well (sound levels or something?), they were live though no miming, and having seen them live they can both belt out. Can't wait to see their Glasto set on the Park Stage!
@MrBarry4652 жыл бұрын
Tend to agree, they need a live crowd and having seen then live it adds a lot to them.
@Yourismouter2 жыл бұрын
here's hoping Jools goes at least back to the old studio format where the audience surrounds the band, I thought it was a pity that this group which was by far the 'stand out' group/performances of the evening, didn't have a crowd to feed off and the same went for Sinead O'Brien and the Belgian Duo from the week before.
