Bless your positivity. We started with a T6, and both seats swivelled . After the luxury of the space a Moho allows especially for sleeping, you’re braver than me. Do you still have your porta potty, the joy of trying to pee straight in the middle of the night hunched up is coming back your way 🥳 I hope the notoriously uncomfortable T6 bench passenger seat has improved, the first thing I did was change it out with ours at it was sooooo sore on my back after about an hour.

Knights are fab. I broke a back window while we were away near Peterborough (We live in Scotland). At short notice, they fitted us a pair of new windows and did us a set of alloys and some new interior steps for our older T5 conversion. Fantastic service, and the standard of work was frankly (I think) the best I've seen. We're looking at upgrading the interior now from 3/4 to full bed to accomodate grandkids, and with a better floor to enable the bed to be moved up and down, they've been very helpful and in spite of the distance, I'm definitly going there for the work.

Far too small for a decent conversion…plus the cost of all the work will be excessive,the firm must be rubbing their hands at the commission 😁😁😁 But good luck with it

My worry would be weight in one of these EV vans As I can see on the VW website they only have a load capacity of 516kg which isn’t much esp if you add a couple of humans into it By the time you have fitted it out I can’t see much spare

is that battery bank a sponsor? if it is i understand you have to use it, if not i would cut a hole in the floor and mount the lihium batteries underneath with an access door on the top I did my trailer that way and has worked great for years, great video

What’s the screw retention like with the composite board. The beauty of ply is the way it can hold a screw. Be interesting to see the longevity of it 🤔🤔

Hope this question makes sense. Will the electrics all be in one. So would the range go down if your parked up up using everything, and also the opposite, if you've gotta solar panel would that add range.

It’s amazing how the minimum amount of space can be utilised to the best effect with 2 humans in it. When the ID buzz is fully converted how long will it take for you to get used to a very small space. Currently I’m a bit anti anything electric but in 10 years time will the 🌍less reliant on petrol/diesel I’m not so sure ❤️❤️👍 👍 😍😍

insurance isnt going to touch it? i hope this goes right for you, but i get the willies looking at cutting that buzz apart. that pop top is going to be someones worst nightmare. ive fitted a few and thats a lot of structure cut out of that van. one prang and its a write off... would they pay up? the t6 is a gem

Absolutely, we love the T6, but it’s not electric. Unless of course you go for the ABT one, but the range on that is just too little. We think our ID Buzz conversion will be perfect as a second EV car for us and an occasional camper/day van when needed. We have 2 reputable companies doing the roof and van conversion so we don’t believe we’ll have any trouble insuring it when it’s done.

The concern is not being able to convert it or their quality of work. Its more where you stand drilling for fixings into the floor, cutting structure that is relied upon for battery carriage. I would just tripple check all insurances before the cut to make sure you dont end up with something non insurable. Or non claimable in the event of fault or accident. Im old and grumpy and have to just see things forward in my work. No rose tint in my glasses unfortunately
