In this video, I provide an overview of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), which is part of the structural equation modeling (SEM) family of analyses. CFA is useful for specifying a measurement model and for evaluating the measurement structure of, for example, a multi-item measure. I introduce the concepts of path diagrams, model identification, model fit indices and cutoffs, parameter estimates, and model comparisons.
