We’ve been waiting for the glazers to sell Manchester United , however, one cannot somehow figure out what is happening at the headquarters, despite numerous reports that the club is being sold to the glazers, the pause had even insinuated, backed by some internals, that the American owners are reluctant to hand over the club! Well, one key bidder, Sheikh Jassim’s competitor Jim Ratcliffe seems to have confirmed that indeed, he is not buying United, apparently out of the race! Speaking to the media recently , the INEOS CEO lamented “You can't really contemplate acquiring a brand like Manchester United and failing because the failure is just far too public and excruciating in a deal like that”. Earlier reports had claimed that Sheikh Jassim and his Qatari’s were the front runners of the ownership, it’s confirmation has taken months and albeit conflicting reports, if United is getting into newer ownership, no doubt it’s in the hands of the qataris; Perhaps, Ratcliffe has already withdrawn out of frustration on to its protracted nature ! Our only hope lies in the Qatari’s, what the fans have long yearned for !
