@ConflictNerd. If you're having issues with the road textures not loading, I had the same issue. I changed trilenaer filtering to bilienear filtering, and it seemed to solve this.

What helps me with the commericial "bug": space the commericial out more. Just like in real life if there are not enough customers, companies can't sell enough goods. It helped me zoning a few blocks instead of whole rows.😂 I ran into the problem and just got rid of some and I started getting demand for residential back (even though it was SLOOOOW for a long time) and a better working city without all the pop ups.🤷‍♀️ For your crashing: Did you change your settings to the recommended paradox settings? Depth of field off, etc? I have played it, on high, 40k residents city, since release every day now and didn't have one crash, so maybe your settings, which Paradox know they are bugged atm, could be an issue.🤔 The texture one is something some people struggle with, texture to low and back to high was the solution I think.🤔 Nice city though!😊😁

I am lucky to have no issues with performance to 250K population that I am at now. My guess is that game will become unplayable at around 500K in regards to CPU (i9-12900F However game is currently "a proof of concept" . Publishers made devs concentrate of performance issues at cost of everything. But this does have tons of potential as soon as they start dealing with ingame systems.

I belive this game doesnt counter in trade you do with specialized industry. So if you export grain for example you will get the money from that transaction as soon as the vehicle transporting it goes off map (sorta like in simcity). It wont show up on your monthly expenses and revenue as it doesnt happen regularly enough to be predictable. Thats why at the start you have $97M. It could also be the same with industry export in general, but i'm not sure about that.

it should show up as temporary tax boost. All RCI is taxed based on profits, besides residential which is taxed based on land value I think. So if a commercial or industrial company profits a trillion dollars for some reason and your taxes are at 13% you get 13% of that. This is more noticeable with Commercial zones if you constantly check the tax income... you will notice that their tax amount will spike sometimes as more people enter the city despite the fact that you zoned no more commercial and said commercial hasn't leveled up.

@@BeeWarrior_ that not true, I have seen industry zones and commercial zones buy from specialized industry. If you have both the town hall and bank then imports are cheaper and exports are more profitable which is likely what could be creating the situation where companies are just importing and exporting.

there is a way to connect the roundabout into the highway roads like you tried at 8:50. you have to barely connect the road into the roundabout, one at a time. makes a nice turning lane and can even have a traffic light on it.

Your tram 4-lane road with rail viaduct over is far too busy a corridor not to have alternatives. Build a couple of adjacent roads, and arteries to relieve the pressure. Maybe even run the trams on their own alignment. Also run a secondary road from your industrial area to the new service buildings on the highway. Provide an alternative route that isn't as circuitous, and reliant on the highway.

Garbage isn’t working properly right now. I’ve got a city of 25k with no garbage processing. I’ve been waiting for complaints but have gotten none yet so I just haven’t added any.

You are buying it from other cities. You technically don't need any services, you can buy them all. Some are done automatically like hearses, ambulances, and garbage but others you have to connect like electricity and water. I know this because I didn't upgrade my garbage processing and I decided to cut off my city from the highway network, and all of a sudden everyone was complaining about garbage piling up and I had to build enough recycling centres to cope with 200 tonnes of waste when I only had 1 built lol. It did fix all traffic issues in the city, so it was worth it.

@kylekeighley1754 Hey it worked perfectly haha. The first thing I did was remove parking from every single road in the city using trees or wide pavements and then traffic went away for the most part, but people were still stubborn. Also if you're strapped for cash, add a parking fee to absolutely everything and max it out. I thought this would stop people using cars since public transit would be cheaper, but no. Ended up with like 80K profit from roads.

I recommend always doing a manual save. Autosaves for me are simply a backup in case of an issue, I don't actually load autosaves when I go back into my game. in fact if you "continue" from paradox launcher it'll often not even load your latest save. so what I do is keep auto saves on to help with any crazy thing that may happen or crash load most recent working autosave if newer then my manual save. but at end of every session I manually save. Then i load that manual save to resume, so this way if this happens to manual save, you still have a fairly recent autosave to resume from, or if auto-save crashes, you likely have another auto-save to use or your most recent manual save. I think my game keeps the 4 past auto-saves, so your saying you only manual saved and 0 auto-save and you only had one manual save? Man you have a lot to learn about games.

Same. And manual saving in between with every game, just in case!🙏🏼You never know when something happens. Too many times that I went into a game (not CS:2 though) and 3 hours in it crashed somehow and I never saved and the auto safe was corrupted or not even there.😂😂

I hate the not enough customers indication, there’s 1 million houses around the businesses but yet they’re still complaining that there’s not enough customers. I think it’s a glitch but still it’s really annoying and for some reason my city I have a population of 80,000 and the house demand for low density is not going down. I made a huge square of this homes in there had to be over 1000 houses and it’s still not going down. And I still don’t understand the high density residential that bar never goes up in the mix commercial and housing that never is able to be built because there’s no demand for it. There Hass to be something wrong and I really hope the mods like infinite demand mod comes back? Also the healthcare symbol above each business or home when there’s none of healthcare but there is because I plopped down 15 medical centers and 17 crematories near the houses but yet they’re still complaining. There’s something wrong with that or just ambulance drivers are not doing their job. Also, the traffic AI is still so stupid. I need the dedicated turning lanes and right hand turn lanes and all that stuff that the mods brought you in city skylines one but it’s like they clogged up my highways because they turn another lane last second, or they’ll be using back alleys as main roads instead of the actual like main road that they’re supposed to use that has capacity for lots of cars,, I just hope mods come soon. Also, another thing with the education it’s like I have an area right with an elementary school high school and college and university. But yet there’s 1000 kids at the elementary school and then around like two for the high school but and then they’re complaining that there’s not enough education sources around so I plopped on other elementary school to see if that’s the issue because it’s at capacity but yet when I go to click the elementary school that’s near the Maxout elementary school it’s like they’re still complaining, I don’t know there’s something on up with that also. It’s kind of funny though if you look at the employees it says 14 out of 14 for an elementary school that has 1500 kids in it like does that make sense. Maybe the issue with that is the radius of affect of each ploppable building that provides a service is too small because just because the healthcare buildings across the street or the elementary schools across the street, mean to complain that you don’t have enough of it when it’s like a 5 second drive down the road

To fix the not enough customers part someone (can't think of the channel..sorry) put down a warehouse and set it for commercial products. The businesses were running out of space to place the products they were selling. This also included the tech commercial industry too. Once they set the warehouse\storage to commercial it fixed it. Not sure if this will help you but hopefully it does.

I just want to say that I really enjoy your laugh, especially when the game is being … odd 😂. I really appreciate your C:S and C:S2 videos, they are so relaxing to have on! I really do believe that CO will figure out how to fix the game. Take No Man’s Sky as an example of a game that was so bad in the beginning, and now they’ve went waaaay beyond what they planned from the beginning. Oh well, not the same devs, but I feel like they have the same passion for their games.

No issues on my end with the game, 0 crashes, but that's how it is with a game that doesn't have open beta first; There will a percentage of systems that have more serious issues than others. People are reporting the bugs and patches are rolling out.

I have had a similar issue with trams or cars just not moving for no reason, but if you use the upgrade tool and dont change anything, the stuck vehicles start moving again

I'm not sure in so much as it's necessarily entirely a bug with the whole not enough customers thing as it is that it gives you notifications of "problems" far sooner than when they actually become issues. So everyone going home at night, not shopping upsets the commercial buildings who then complain that not enough people are buying things from closed stores at 3am. Then at around 9am they're fine again because people are no longer asleep and are instead out and about during the day. I've personally also seen the notification of uncollected dead bodies so many times as I can see the hearse pulling up to collect the dead, but just in the time it took the crematorium/cemetery to send the hearse there they got upset it wasn't happening faster (can't say that's entirely unrealistic, people are impatient af, can still be annoying though)

The issue I found is the game does not always remember graphics settings set the last time you played, so it reverts to the crapo defaults. Also if residential taxes are dropped too low, the telecom service income skyrockets, known bug.

I don’t get the transportation in this game either. Originally I had bus lines in my city but then I also added Subway lines and the subway lines are more convenient but yet the civilian are still clogging up my bus station so it’s overlike 1000 people waiting at one bus stop at any good moment but yet there’s a subway line that’s literally right next to it and is more convenient and holds more capacity. I don’t know I feel like there’s something glitched.

I had a similar issue with textures in Hogwarts Legacy and it turned out to be my hard drive that was the bottleneck. Got me a secondary M2 for games and left only music and movies on the old physical drive and had no issues since. Of course in this case it could just be that the game is bugged too...

the texture overlay of the zoning is really annoying as well as the blinding whiteness: you can't look at your city & work on it at the same time. the way all the trees on the cemetery etc. light up when you interact with them is a further eyesore.

9:24 very glad to see the recycling plant. Also thrilled to see sewerage processing for the first time - I was not enjoying the poop water by the college and couldn’t imagine the NPCs were either. Couldn’t imagine trying to play sport by the poop water! 😅

I also had issues with the games graphics not loading properly, I fixed it by chaging the boot option to -force -d3d9.

I don't think the commercial is bugged. There is a screen that tells you were the customers are andif it's dark green that's a good place to zone commercial.

They said that the driving dynamics mimic real life, so I'm assuming 11:37 is a driver that put the wrong address in the GPS or took the wrong exit

I have been enjoying the game a lot but there are some huge issues with the game. Monthly budge calculation is flat out wrong, I've been in negative but clearly see my money going up significantly. Cargo ports/planes/trains are broken, they aren't exporting/importing properly causing a bottle neck in your city and on top of that they completely break your mail system, when i was over 40k people my biggest complaint in my city was poor mail service, i tried everything from building more post offices, spamming mailboxes everywhere, building sorting facility, etc. only solution was deleting my cargo shipyard and near instantly all my red buildings on mail overlay started turning green as my post trucks visited them and my income started skyrocketing 2x what it was after a short while, I think everything was suffering due to lack of mail processing and also businesses was likely being choked out due to cargo ports not working correctly. Another big issue I have is education system isn't working for college and universities. I have a ton of eligibility for bot college and universities, but only maybe 5% of my eligible are actually going to college and universities. From what i heard in forums there is also a bug where people aren't using your education buildings and instead are going to out-side connection. Despite all these major issues I am still having fun, I am 50k now in my city and making 30k a month and all my demand maxed out and my city is extremally happy with 0 negatives now at this point. I also have an unemployment's of only like 2%. I do have some people complaining about high rent but it's such a low amount that it's not affecting my global happiness level. The only mass transportation I've implemented is buses but I think I am going to do a major expansion in another area of map then maybe look into trains and subways and stuff as my city may start letting me install a lot more high density buildings.

I had a traffic issue like that in my city and it completely ruined it. Flow into the city was completely halted nothing could move around. I trying several ways to try and fix it but the cars and stuff refused to move. The cars sit in like a constant car crash mode.

I have only been using Incinerators for 3x cities of 100-320k ppl. jJust barely more capacity than garbage poroduction. Never had a single garbage issue

The facepalm when adding a weird road around the upgrade buildings, instead of just scooting the building over a bit...lol. You're still fun to watch. My OCD gets the best of me. At the time I think it was a bug, but was obviously compounded by adding more retail and no new homes. Every video I think I've seen with this issue, ironically also had very high demand for some, if not all, residential... and never added any more, meaning, "Not enough customers".

It happens when your ram is almost full and it takes time to process each movement, could be with CPU as well. Happened to me after I got my pop in CS1 to 360,000, Dont know if its the same in CS2 but it probably is.

True, the US-Stock Market had been on it's longest bull-run in history, so the mass hysteria and panic is relatable, considering were not accustomed to such troubled markets, but as you mentioned there are avenues lurking around if you know where to look, l've netted over $800k in the past 6 months and it wasn't some rocket-science strat. I applied , I just knew I needed a firm and reliable technique to navigate better in these times, so I hired a portfoilo advisor.
