Is it possible not to be the Joker in this era?
Joker films, portrayed by actors like Joaquin Phoenix and Heath Ledger, have often brought us moments of philosophical questioning. If you love Joker films, you can find many points of connection with the character that are unique to yourself.
A pitch-black city with streets that are never free of garbage, avenues devoid of a speck of green, and a gloomy sky. But what makes it even darker are the crimes committed within, the injustices tolerated, the unstoppable corruption, the increasing immorality, and the pervasive poverty that encompasses a large portion of the population. This sequence of evils, where thugs roam the streets and mafias bend politicians to their will, seems to have permeated all structures of the city. After Bill Finger created this fictional city in 1940, he found it fitting to give it one of New York's popular nicknames-Gotham. Gotham, deriving its name from a small village in England, means "a place where fools live" in the local language. This city, which darkens one's soul, may have a monotonous appearance, but throughout its history, it has become an arena where many heroes and notorious criminals have taken the stage.
