I didn't like this drama as much as I did with The Double. For a romance drama between ML and FL, there weren't a lot of ML scenes compared to SML. Like wtf? literally, the ML became the side character in his own story. The drama kept showing the love rival, Su Rong Qing instead of the husband Pei Wen Xian. The entire series is about PWX as the biggest simp without so much of character growth. The villains in this drama had more growth compared to him and PWX was depicted as someone witty, cunning, intelligent, skilled but hardly seen it. Even the last episode is about the love lost between the princess and the SRQ. Like enough of him already, just kill his character already, i mean the actor himself only had one dimensional expression his entire screentime. Unlike Shen Yurong's actor from The Double, SRQ is weak in terms for performance and he failed to show any reasons why we wanna side with him. I actually cried for Shen Yurong's ending. For SRQ, it was skip-skip-skip-FF type of feeling for me. He was a waste of film time. So, no sorry, the director/producer for this drama missed it. If there is an epilogue scene, I won't pay for it because I'd be disappointed if I see SRQ face on it again.
