Result could* have been different and not would have been different! You can never estimate with utmost certainty about such things, it's pure reassurance bias It is a fact that Jaipur's defense became insanely obliterating as the season kept moving forward and were in an ultimate form! They did manage to stop almost all the raiders of all the teams and puneri wouldn't have been any different I know they defeated JPP twice but that was somewhere along the mid way of the season where both of the matches of these teams were already done

fazal's aggression was also reason for pune's loss, he was out of court for long time and without him young team struggled, also not crossing baulk line is completely raider's mistake not technical error. on the other hand there was raid of arjun when he was given out but in reality he touched midline in air, so this was actually a technical error. Jaipur had their statergy on point they played with 5 defenders instead of usual 4 which worked well against the 3 raiders of pune.

@@audumbarchinchkar5262 I completely disagree with the 'Captain leading the young player' concept. All these players have either played in Senior Nationals or Khelo India, which means that they don't need to be guided like small kids for each raid. It is unrealistic to expect for the Captain to be on the mat the entire time. Moreover, Arjun indeed did not touch the defender, the review was successful for a reason. And as far as the raider defender combination goes, Pune's defense was as good as Panthers. Both the defense did great last night and both the teams ke raiders were not the best last night, with the highest raid points by Jaipur being 6 (Ajith) and by Pune, it was 5 (Aditya). So there is no point targeting Fazel's 'agression' or blaming Pune's team. Both played well, and I am sure if it was not for the all out, Pune would've won.

​@@moyera9190 I am not talking about reviewed raid, there was another raid by arjun/ajith where JPP didn't take review even sunil taneja was saying same that it was close call and JPP could have reviewed. Pune had all wonderful players last season also, but as match progressed their performance would go down, defence would go into chaos, so captain matters very much. and this is a regular phenomenom in PKL when captain goes out team gets all out. I am not targeting fazal just mentioning that him being out of court escalated match towards JPP. About the 'all out', pune was on verge of all out 'again' with 2 players remaning but from JPP ,out of form arjun went to raid instead of in form ajith. So you could say JPP could have won with bigger margin if not missed chance of second all out.

@@audumbarchinchkar5262 Arjun so did not cross the mid line! And also, the match was close in spite of Pune playing with half of their bench players. Had Aslam and Mohit been there, Pune would have easily won the trophy. And Pune has shown a MUCH more consistent play throughout the season than Jaipur. Jaipur's defense has been great throughout the season, but Pune has shown an all round consistent performance in both raiding and defense. And I still stick to the statement that Pune deserved lifting the trophy.

@@moyera9190 arjun did cross midline but referee gave decision that raider was out of bound while crossing midline but during replay it was visible that raider was in air while crossing midline. regarding 'close match' If you see score of thalaiva vs pune semifinal you could say match was close but throughout the match thalaiva were under heat or you could say they were inferior team on the day, same goes for yesterday's match JPP were the dominant team throughout. and YES i agree pune was consistent more deserving team. But I would like to reiterate that this match wasn't in anyway like patna vs delhi final where one team won due to technical errors, this match was pure game, another point captain staying on mat does matter.
