In this video, I will teach you how to record piano directly in iphone camera without any software .
You will need :
-lightning cable to 3.5 mm jack
-audio splitter ( 2 nos.)
-audio jack 3.5 mm

hello, your videos are very helpful but i have a huge pain because my digital piano does not have a usb port , what will i use to record my keyboard sound directly on my iphone camera? can i use 1/4 inch line jack to usb cable ?

If u have both a mono and phones output on your keyboard use the head phones or speaker on the mono out put and use the recording device on the phones out put it isn't rocket science

What you didn’t mention is what recording app is being used to capture the sound. It actually does NOT sound better btw. Lots of distortion because it input volume is too high. You need a way to control the gain.

I know how to record (i own a midi keyboard), i've never really thought of posting my pieces on youtube. I've been playing for 3 yrs and maybe i will. This was cool tho, seeing how easy it is to record with a mobile phone.

How can i hear what im playing while recording? As soon as i plug in headphones in the audio jacket my phonecamera switches back to the phones mic. Please help this is so frustrating

@@victoriawagner-surmava4437i plugged my phone in the piano to record and i connected a second device via bluetooth to my piano. With the second device i use garage band to hear what im actually playing while recording

Did you mean "3) Line OUT from piano...."? It says "line in". That is confusing.

Mauri Vazquez Sanchez Yeah , i recorded with my iphone, but to be honest I’ll buy an audio interface instead soon, because this method does work but you have to lower the volume of your piano to the minimum , otherwise the sound will disconnect every now and then, and that means you have to play at the lowest volume when recording, i used this method twice but it’s getting borring ...

Lady Aya - For me it work only without my headphone, I can record with camera, but once I put my headphone I only record external noise, the sound from piano is not recorded. The problem is that I need my headphone if I want to hear what I’m playing, maybe it’s about another settings in my iPhone 6s ? If u know please answer me thx 🙏

Negan , it’s not about your phone settings , i use the same phone as yours, what type of keyboard do u have? I faced the same problem at first, then i realized how to change settings on my keyboard so that the sound is heard and recorded at the same time and i hear myslef when playing and recording without using a headset now, I use roland fp-30

Lady Aya - I think I need another adapter in m phone that can use mic and headphone in the same time ! I will try it anyway 👍 My keyboard is Yamaha ydp-v 240 it has a great sound when I play with my headphones. However I can record with iPhone 6 even if I use my headphones it work !!! But with iPhone 6s and my iPhone 7 it sucks when I use headphones I record only extern noise 😭 so I think that will be the same with the new iPhone SE 2020 ! All I need is to try that adapter with mic and headphones, i’m curious I will try it is cheap on amazon. Or if I can’t nothing then I will see for a camera with best microphone even if it cost me 700$

I just tried using both iphone 6s and iPhone 6s plus and the same thing happened! It still doesn't work and i dunno why is this happening :(

@@hindayad833 - It work with iPhone 6 just go step by step when u connect cables 🤞 first connection is on ur iPhone, second is to ur jack headphones ! At this moment with iphones "6s plus" u will see the app siri pop up, just ignore it ( it mean that ur iphone is connected to external microphone. If the app siri doesn’t pop up then try to conect it again SLOWLY until u see the app siri pop up 🤞 once it appears just ignore it and go to recording ( it will work ) but don’t put high volume because of weak microphone. On my iPhone 7 it’s différent i can record but i can’t hear what i’m playing 😩 Good luck 🤞 and don’t forget the the order u connect all it. U can do this 👍

Do not record your STEREO piano this way through the headphone lighting Jack as distortion is inevitable and possible damage The correct way to record is using a pro AUDIO INTERFACE with an Apple camera adapter which makes use of iOS core audio drivers which will give you clean professional sound

@@piano_a2892 "pro" audio interface means aomething loke Focusrite scarlett or behringer um2 to name a few. But since the point of the video is to record with clean audio DIRECTLY to phone, then your best bet is a mobile audio interface like the roland go mixer/go mixer pro or those cheap soundcards like V8/v8s.

@@savagex9000 AFAIK, iphones support external mics (example: vlogging mics) without using 3rd party camera app. For android we use camera apps like proshot, open camera (free), filmic pro to use external mics and connect phone to soundcard. But for iphonea and ios devices you just need to connect your iphone to your soundcard. I just dont know for iphones with no headphone jack. Maybe you can use an adapter.
