In this video I'm gonna show you how to hook up the Pioneer DJ DJS 1000 with the Denon DJ SC live 4. This works in anything with an aux input.

I always enjoy these little hacks you find out. Very cool stuff even though my Denon experience led me to dislike their products and go back to my full Pioneer set up (xdj-xz + cdj 3000 + djs 1000)

How do you sync it though… and what are you sampling. I hear no difference when you tap the button

Do you think I can use a master output as the send from my Flx10 ?

Probably slightly offtopic, but can you please check, if any signal into the Aux-In gets automatically routed to the headphone cue as well, even **before** you turn up the Mic2/Aux Volume knob? Because the Prime 2 has a Cue (Pfl) button to prelisten to your Aux signal, but the Live 4 does not! This would be very helpful e.g. for prelistening your Akai MPC, or your backup phone during a wedding, before mixing it into the Master signal. Thank you :)

Bonus question: If yes, does it also work in Cue-Solo-toggle Mode?

It does not

I just want to know can you hook up the Pioneer RMX 1000 for any controller out there in the market with out the send an return option. Thanks

Master out only. Or thru headphone output than back in aux might work. Or feed back might happen

How long can you sample

Master out from Denon is your send.

Then I can only sample what the crowd is hearing.

You CAN link Ableton link bpm to the DJS-1000 using the "The Missing Link, Junior". It has a 5 pin MIDI that you connect to the DJS while it transmits LINK to Wifi used by the Denon DJ unit. Tada!

Wait , but the Missing Link only as a MIDI OUTPUT. How should that work??

can it work on the prime go?

@@TheDJLab how would it work because I'm gonna buy one soon and would I be able to do it on a 2 channel mixer and keep the 2 channels as a deck
@daza75604 ай бұрын
You would have to sacrifice one of the decks

lol. the reason why nobody is doing this is because headphones do not output a line level signal, and it sounds like ass. You are not only subjecting the signal to another round of circuitry, but most generic headphone amplifiers are trash quality. Go back to school. :D

Thanks for your insight. These are hacks and workarounds for hobbyist DJs. Not everyone who paid with DJ gear is playing a Tommorowland and goes to school for audio engineering and production. If I was to play at a small bar and use my sampler like this, not a single person on the Dance Floor would care. It would be good enough. Not everyone is an audiophile.
