I cannot believe it is this eaSy. Had no tv in bedroom for almost a year. Bought the new firestick in October 2021. I thought I had to take the big tv off the wall to hook up new firestick. Should have looked you up long ago. Thanks so much xo

Take the batteries out and out them back in or replace with new batteries...and try again.

@@cedmac3366 well, I know that. But just because its plugged in and the TV is on, doesn't mean firestick is on. And with no remote, I couldn't turn it on. I had to download a remote to my phone and then pair the firestick remote.

The Firestick has to be powered on. If you cant get the Firestick to power on you can try to remove or replace the HDMI extender cable bcus they can go bad. If that doesn't work then your Firestick may be toast and you will need a new one.. it's rare but I've seen it happen with a few. Good luck

@@cedmac3366 the fire stick lite remote won’t work with the normal version of fire stick 🤔but my shaw remote worked automatically lol lucky me

@@Castwich yep the fire stick lite remote works with the 4k, the New Generation Firestick and the Firestick Lite. I made this video before the new generation remotes. 👍🏾
