MeatEater

2 жыл бұрын

Danielle teams up with the one and only Brad Leone, host of the hit series, It’s Alive, to catch blue crabs and dig for clams in his home state of Connecticut. For thousands of years crabs and shellfish have been an invaluable food resource, and today they’re a celebrated symbol of this region's connection to the ocean. From there, Danielle visits Dan Meiser at the incredibly beautiful Stone Acre Farms to gather seasonal vegetables. They put together a celebratory meal using some of the best ingredients that the East Coast has to offer during the summer. #wildandwhole #fueledbynature

I always get so envious of people who live in coastal cities when I see videos like this. It'd be so cool to live in a place where you can get such a diverse group of food from your environment. Where I live, there's your basic lake trout, bass, and pan fish, and then your typical venison and wild birds.

My Dad spent 23 years in the U.S. Army and hated turkey. The bird, not the country. So come Thanksgiving we had shrimp and lobster tails that Mom would start buying around September because they were pricey even in the commissary. @@HammerSmashedFace92 Waaaay too many jump cuts and those annoying beep cuts in those videos. All the newer Brad videos on BA make it look like Brad doesn't know what he's doing at any given time. Basically, they're not cohesive. On top of that, his whole shtick over there can be boiled down to 3 steps. Step 1, put fruit/veg in vac bag. Step 2, wait a couple weeks. Step 3, open vac bag and now you have fermented food.
