Unless something changed since I last used roll20, when you updated that wizard's token to link the bars to the HP of the sheet... You need to re-link it again from the sheet. If you drag the token again, it won't have the updated bars. There should be a way to edit "linked tokens" directly on the sheet to get this attribute page. DM headache galore

Hello. Somehow, I managed lockout token changes. I cannot get to the EDIT TOKEN!!! When I click UPDATE TOKEN nothing happens. I want to name below NPC and Monsters for MY PLAYERS to see. I can see GM just fine. But nobody else can? Any suggestions.

This would be great, IF the “save settings” button actually saved settings. Instead of having to most of the setup again just because we moved to a new map and I want to drag and drop the characters tokens on to it. Why should I have to do the same set up over and over???
@telboy0072 жыл бұрын
You can't just update the token on the map. The token attached to the character sheet is the master version and any time you drag that character onto a map it is just a copy of that token. Once you've updated a token you need to re-attach it to the character sheet to update the master and re-use on other maps. Hope that helps.

@@telboy007 It does - thank you... but its highly counter intuitive. the button even says SAVE SETTINGS ffs!

@@Brandlin yeah, I know - its also easy to forget this once you know it... as I have done many times. :D

What happens if you give a player permission to edit, but not show in their journal. Does that mean they can edit only when GM pulls the token to the map? But they can't pull it to the map themselves?

Lads, I've got a very specific question and I'm not 100% sure how to do it. So there is this D&D series called Heart of Elynthi, and the DM can show the players just the portraits of NPCs. If I want to do that, do I just place in the portrait and name? Do I make it a Character or do I make it a Handout? I'm not sure and I'd love any help I can get. Thanks in advance.

when I update the hp on a linked player token and hit enter, for some reason it creates a copy of the player token on the map. if I update the hp on this new token or on the original it updates the hp showing on original token but not the new one. why is this and how can I stop that from happening? using firefox latest version.

I drag my characters onto the battle map and nothing happens. I'm on the token layer. Also wondering how you get text on the hp bar.

How do I make a character sheet visible to the party without giving them edit permissions? I have some Pirate NPCs and I want to give the party access to their stat block, but in order for them to simply SEE the NPC character sheet I need to give them edit permissions. :/

Honestly. And, why can't I display the NUMBER OF ATTACKS a player or NPC has, in the token bar? That would be SUPER helpful! I love Roll20. I've been a member since 02/04/15. And it has come a long way. The 2 Roll20 mechanics that *CONSTANTLY* hold me back? 1) The amount of futzing about I have to do to get working characters/token/macros working together. 2) The inability to make page, or map groups in the page toolbar. And the NUMBER ONE reason I keep going back to Fantasy Grounds? I buy books to use there, and my players can access that data, while in MY game. When I buy digital content on Roll20, my players can't access that content. So, to be able to run a game, if I have 4 players, we need to purchase that digital content, such as the player's manual etc. 5 times. That is functionally the same as telling me that, at my actual table top game, my players are not allowed to reference my purchased copy of the player's manual while at my table. Fantasy Grounds found a way to make it work. Why can't you? Sorry, rant over.

General question: if I make a new campaign with theros bundle can I add my odyssey of the dragonlord bundle as well? I want my homebrew campaign with both maps and tokens ?
@Roll20App2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Theros and OotD are both modules and aren't designed to be run at the same time. However, Compendium Sharing can be activated to give you access to the handouts and assigned tokens of different games. A Pro account can also use the Transmogrifier to transfer any maps from the Page Toolbar from one game into another. Unassigned token packs that you've purchased are always accessible through the Art Library.

Is it possible to target a token by clicking it? For example: if a goblin is attack a player, can I click on the players token so that when the attack roll is made, it states if it hit based on the AC of the player? If this is possible, how do I set this up? This is something we have been trying to figure out in our campaigns for over a year; I'm currently Gm-ing so it would be great to get it working?

You know what else is fun, not being able to easily change a characters token without having to set up all the extra attributes again. Like dynamic lighting, or which attributes to show.
@Brainman2342 жыл бұрын
Would be nice if you dont have to set it up all over again because it wont carry over to other pages......

Journal tab icon looks like….. a newspaper? How about it looks like a character sheet.
@scottarmstrong81782 жыл бұрын
During a game the journal usually ends up showing more stuff. Lore, monster hand outs, puzzle pictures... so just showing a character sheet might be confusing to some. I hear you though, a different icon for the journal page would be nice.
