Thanks a lot Kevin for making this track into stereo. Her vocal sounds so great!!!! This song is my favorite no 1 among her Neapolitan songs. (Found lyrics Neapolitan/English for this song and that help to understand the song) Still a great thank!!!!

UNFORTUNATELY I DON'T RECALL EVER HEARING THIS STUPENDOUS, HEART-STIRRING RECORDING BEFORE. HER VOICE HERE IN 1978 WAS AS GOOD OR BETTER THAN IT WAS OVER TWENTY YEARS EARLIER WHEN SHE BEGAN RECORDING! 😮👍👏 (Could you go to your "I Tu Vurria Vasa" video where Barbara Harris posted a comment and inform her of this video? I tried several times but my posts kept dissappearing. It is an ongoing problem with her channel. A few of my posts will remain, but most don't. Please tell her I tried. this is the 1st recording in NEAPOLITAN matrix 62-XY-550, rec 5th October 1962. [P] 1978 on the above 2lp set . A 2nd recording and 2 versions in Italian are still in the vaults.The 1st version with an original verse was to have made it on the LP MODERN ITALIAN HITS but never did. A 2nd version dubbed in ? November 1962 with a re-recorded verse is still in the vaults.

I like this version much better than the one on the Italian Collection CD.....I loved finding this LP somewhere around 1982...I still think Bella is the absolute the worst I ever heard Connie sound....

Kevin, this is the debut of this track on CONNIE ITALIANO in 1978. I have both dbl lp's. What makes you say it's a alt take. ? Can you confirm this is in Neapolitan rather than Italian. I'd like to fill in my sessions.

Roger, maybe I shouldn't have called it an Alt take. It is a debut. Yes, 100% this in Neopolitan. This is not standard Italian. I can post the lyrics, if you'd like.

@@kph1955recorded on 28th April 1962 [1st recording] in Neapolitan?[unissued]. The 2nd recording in Italian ? recorded 5th October 1962 master 62-XY-883 with original verse[was to have made it to the MODERN ITALIAN HITS-but withdrawn]. The 2nd version was recorded in 5th October/? November with a re-recorded verse[UNISSUED]. Hope that helps, Kevin. Which version was released on the cd THE ITALIAN COLLECTION VOL 2. The 2nd recording 62-XY-883/2 [with re-recorded verse] hasn't been released yet.

Ron roberts discography states it is the 2nd recording and sung in Italian, NOT the 1st recording as i state...with original verse. The version on the cd is it the same one? I have edited my notes
