@@hockeysweden8912 Matthews needs to have a good winger to do well. McDavid doesn’t have Mitch Marner and still puts up better numbers. Matthews wouldn’t get 40 goals, 80 points with Yamamoto or Pulijarvi or Hyman.

We witnessed highlights of Crosby, Ovechkin, Malkin, Kane in over 10 years and they’re not in their prime anymore. Now we got guys like McDavid and MacKinnon who never disappoints a highlight goal/play.

I really never thought I'd see a player this dominant again in today's level of competition in any sport. It's like watching the old gretzky highlights but you have to remind yourself these are 2022 goalies and 2022 defensemen

In the 86-87 Season there were Seven 100+ Pointers including Gretzky who had 75 more points then the 2nd Guy. Last year Eight 100+ Pointers.

@@liveslowlivesimple Gretzky won the Art Ross 4x on his Assists alone. In the 2020-21 Season McDavid could have accomplished that feat with 85 Assists but he couldn't do it.

McDavid is fucking awesome and amazing. What a star player. The goal against NYR last season has to be one of the most phenomenal goals in recent years that I have seen.

I grew up with super Mario and jags. My adult years have been nothing but Sid and geno. I came to begrudgingly respect ovi throughout that time. This kid is a hell of a generational player. I give it at least a trade and another 5 years before he wins a cup, but he will win more than one.

@@liveslowlivesimple If they aren't then how'd they make playoffs? Better yet make it to the Conference Finals?... All it would of taken was a goalie and they'd of at least taken Avs to game 6 more likely game 7. Their worst loss was by 4 goals were Tampa lost 7-0 the one game. Plus their interm-coach had 0 experience now he has plenty for next season and Playoff run.

Sorry to break it to you, but the ironclad contract he signed with Edmonton has 4 more years on it. Fortunately for him, there's only 3 teams that outlasted the Oilers this year. He's doing just fine.

@@jj66699 Mcdavid and draisaitl were the only reason they even made it that far, and they got swept, that's nothing to ride home about. If edmonton doesn't start adding pieces to help those two, it won't be fun times in that city.

@@scarycrazymann The saying is “write home about”, not “ride home”. And yes the clock is ticking in Edmonton, but there’s no reason to panic just yet. Making the WCF is a pretty desirable result.
