So if I remember correctly, a Steaktacular was something the developers did for one of the first Halo's. They had the development teams go against each other and if one team had won by 20+ points they had to get the other team a steak dinner. Now it's a reward in the game to pay homage

One of the things I like about halo is that when I pick up a new weapon, it's always pretty different from the others, since with most other shooters, it's always just "bullet go zoom" but with different values, but halo throws in a nice mix of "bullet go zoom, thing go boom, one-shot go whee, melee go slash, shoot go wide", like, mangler is great for a shoot then melee, heatwave is great if your aim is shit since you can just fire and it'll hit at least somewhat, the precision weapons for the traditional bullet which go zoom, energy sword and grav hammer which is just plain fun to use, especially if you go a grappleshot.

@@Riavan nah some weapons just function differently and the game doesn’t tell you unless you do training and play around with weapon drills, like when he choked with the heatwave he didn’t know that it has two firing and that the projectiles bounce on walls

Halo Infinite is my first Halo game (also switched from Apex) and I managed to solo rank till Diamond 3 now. Some things I learned in this game is: - Grenade spam is OP in this game - In close range, melee is usually the way to go - In a 1v2 scenario, it's usually best to opt out the fight because the time to kill for Halo is quite high even if you land the first hit. Staying alive is more important. Having fun with Halo so far, you did amazing being your first time! 😎

I just started to rewatch Red vs Blue a couple weeks ago and it's so good! Brings back so many memories once things start to get animated. The ending to season 13 is also one of the best endings I've ever seen

So to expand on some of Connor's issues. Gamepad has some decent aim magnetism that could explain him losing some of the BR standoffs (get the aim on the head and just don't touch the camera stick and the reticle should stay on target). That said he was definitely doing well as KB+M players...even in the first game where he didn't even read the keybinds xD Second, the melee range is likely much shorter than other shooters, and lacks a lunge, so some of those 'not connecting' may have just outside of the range :/

Yeah the Sprint actually doesn't really speed you up that much it's mainly meant to cash in momentum or other things such as sliding or using with the grappling hook or to jump and clamber on high ledges easily.

Didn’t 343 tone down the sprint to make it feel like H3 or Reach, because everyone seemed to hate the H4 and H5 sprint

@@DEEZ_N4T yeah pretty much they toned it down to where it's only a small boost in speed because with the major boost in speed from the other games they had to stretch out the maps to accommodate Sprint.

Plasma weapons rip through shields faster, electric weapons can cause EMP and slow down shield recharge, and brute weapons are just strong but slow, UNSC/human weapons in general are good overall
