Big trick to this game that took me a while to realise is to take repeated searches into consideration. Sports teams, for example, always have massive search numbers because people are constantly checking and re-checking weekly results, stats etc. whereas countries, celebrities, diseases etc. are things people normally only look up once or twice.

I think the UK was so low because most people are probably using other names to describe the country. Like people planning a trip there might specifically be looking for England, Scotland, etc. Or, they are just referring to the country as a whole to Britain. An issue with this game is that it just looks for the exact word and not the variations on it. You would likely have a similar problem with countries like the Netherlands where people are searching for Holland.
