There are actually some nice bits of wisdom in here. But Language is naturally acquired through time, exposure, practice and work. So annoying that people perpetuate myths that you can be fluent in a second language in any given amount of time (a week, a month, 6 months...etc). Nobody wants to put in the time and almost everyone gets frustrated. Stay motivated and be patient and put in the effort and you'll be fine.

There are about 100, 000 words in the Spanish language . A fluent speakers needs roughly 5,000 words in their vocabulary to communicate. One month is not enough time to learn a language. There is no magic technique no silver bullet. If you want to learn a language you need consistent exposure to that language. It’s not impossible but it a takes time and effort and it’s not a decision you should take lightly because your time is the most valuable resource you have and you don’t know how much you have left. On the other hand learning a language can be fun and open up whole new worlds but people should stop pretending that there is a way to do it fast and with little effort.

After watching the first few minutes, I already saw a red flag: you can’t gain 22 pounds of muscle in a month - even if you were on steroid. Makes me question the credibility of this video.

You can't learn when you're frustrated bra. You learn much better when you're having fun and making mistakes.

The problem that I have with this strategy is that knowing grammar is essential for understanding what another person is saying. Often pronouns are dropped in Spanish especially, so knowing basic verb conjugation is necessary to know who the subject is

lol as an avid fitness enthusiast, trust me u did not gain 26lbs of muscle in a month. maybe 5lbs of muscle after being malnourished and muscle memory, but most likely water and fat

The problem for me is listening to the language and processing the words I'm hearing. I can write Spanish to a certain level, and speak it. But when someone speaks to me in Spanish, I don't hear anything but gobbledegook.

I learned something. I learned expressing yourself helps you learn quicker, WAY quicker, than perfection. Thank you for that!

I love this. After 2 weeks of hard work of learning Spanish with superb fancy methods and pushing yourself to limits, when asked "Y aqui con quien esta?" you answer "Por 4 meses".

I started studying Spanish two weeks ago after 10 years of not using it. It's exciting just to understand your simple conversation at the restaurant.

I've had spanish for over two years at school and I'm close to failing it if I don't improve. My teacher wanted my class to learn ALL the grammar from start despite that fact I have absolutely no vocabulary in spanish. I've learned close to nothing in those years so in order to pass spanish I want to use some of your advice and teach myself spanish instead. I have 5 months to get somewhat fluent, wish me luck! :P
