It’s is all very complex, but you explained this head to toe body maladaptive pattern brilliantly. I would venture that a majority of adults in this society develop these patterns due to incorrect posture, and poor body mechanics in general. It’s not something that most of us are even conscious of so we reinforce it all day after day and year after year. You are extraordinary in your intricate knowledge and ability to teach and educate. It is extremely rare to get any information of this caliber from doctors, therapists, trainers etc. You are a rare resource indeed! Thank you Conner.

So do u think that correcting these bad habits like posture , body mechanics can reverse facial asymmetry?
@jeanine219
@jeanine219 8 ай бұрын
@@pranavgaikwad1611 If that was the cause of the facial asymmetry, I do think it could be improved if not corrected. I think probably the muscles of the face are strong vs weak just like other body muscles. So the face also shows evidence of muscle overuse vs underuse.

I finally have an answer to all the imbalances in my body! I've dealt with pain and postural issues my whole life. Very dropped right shoulder, tight left shoulder and neck, crooked jaw, asymmetrical face, hips uneven, caved in sternum, anterior pelvic tilt, etc... I've worked hard to make my body stronger, but always faced challenges along the way. Thank you for giving me a name for it and for making all the connections! Keep up the great work with this channel!

Get a PRI therapist. Watch all Conor's and Neil Hallinan's videos. Avoid any exercises or workouts that reinforce the pattern. I. E. avoid right adductor activation, aggressive back extension. Incidentally my Sternum is dug out too, I wonder if there's association.

Beware, don't fall into this "correct everything" trap, people have asymmetry and that is normal, it is often not the cause of pain or issues that many popular youtubers want to let you know, they do it because it gets them views. Do your proper research and check different takes on posture and pain.
@mcducloz

@@DavidBertossi Thank you for the warning. I appreciate the concern and most definitely agree that the goal of any KZfaqr is more views to eventually make money. However, I have dealt with pain and discomfort from these very specific asymmetries since I was a pre-teen. I also went to school for pre-med and was obsessed with anatomy and physiology, and did around 150 hours of physical therapy shadowing, as well as 50 hours of chiropractic shadowing and a semester of DC school (which is total BS). The abnormalities Conor points out are not new to me. And have all been addressed individually by PTs for many years with their patients. What's new to me is the connection between them all. I'm not sure when Right TMCC Pattern was discovered, but this helped me to realize all the individual asymmetries are directly related and I'm not the only one dealing with the exact pattern. For most of my life, I was told it was because I was pulled out with forceps at birth. While the goal of any KZfaqr is to get views and make money, that doesn't always mean that their information is invalid. It was helpful to me. And yes, I'm already doing way more research on the matter in the actual peer reviewed empirical literature to further my understanding. Cheers to you looking out for people though!

Very interesting video. I have the R TMCC pattern and suffer from tinnitus. I find that a lot of extension work worsens it so its cool to see the nervous system play in harmony at my expense lol. Was actually working with Aleena from PRI and she was the first to see the cranial torsion. I think it helped me connect a lot of pieces for myself and for my clients (got to learn so much this past year as the tinnitus worsened). Made sense why things that didnt hurt other people, hurt me and caused issues no matter what I tried. Cues like shoulders back and down created more torsion. I think if you have had braces and orthodontia, a narrow palate, tongue ties, that can create a lot of issues for this pattern, and I’m seeing it more and more with my clients. Neil talks a lot about this and the inability to keep neutral, at least I think, stems from the cranium. Thanks for the info that you’re sharing and keep up the amazing work! I think PRI is one of the best systems for figuring out the human body and its endless complexities.

I have always suffered from these symptoms, pain in the neck and headaches , my facial details are asymmetrical, my right shoulder is higher than my left shoulder, and my left ear is higher than my right ear. One time I went to a dentist and asked him what makes one side of my mouth higher than the other and he told me that I might have a temporomandibular joint disorder, so I researched the matter for a long time and thought that was what I was suffering from. But I did not understand what my right ear and shoulder have to do with this matter, and today I watched this video and understood everything and now i'm completely certain that this is what I have been suffering from all my life. I'm so confused when I seem to have left AIC pattern yet the mirrored right BC pattern. Torso tilted to left and right shoulder higher and my right side of the neck feels very tight (even though it apparently turns/bends better than the left side). I have played ice hockey and guitar though. I guess this video explains why my jaw seems to always drift to locking on the right offset when yawning. Btw is all the emphasis on how this is not recommended for the same reason as a lawyer can't say that they're giving legal advice due to it being legally interpreted as a client relationship if they don't bring that up? Since I doubt you could hurt your body following this unless you do something incredibly wrong.

Great video. I’m still a bit confused about which pattern I have. My left shoulder is higher, and face seems structured higher and more balanced. My right shoulder is lower, my right side of my face seems to be set slightly further back as a whole next to my left side. My right chin seems longer from my lip down, but my right jaw seems shorter from jaw to chin. My nose seems to be a bit flatter and lower down on the right side. Like someone sat on it. Whereas my left tip is more upturned. My right face seems to drag down somewhat. Right hip and pelvis are lower down than the left. The right eye lid is a bit more hooded and downward, and the eybrow doesn’t have quite as nice long arch as the left eyebrow bone. Right upper lip is a bit thinner, and lower lip shows a bit of lower side teeth when I talk. My right upper lip pulls up when I talk and doesn’t stay aligned with my left upper lip. My left hip is higher, so my lower spine has a slight scoliosis curve to the left, and my left leg looks slightly longer. Goes without saying my left side is my good side. I look ok in real life (I think), but photos shows up these asymmetries terribly so I avoid photos like a plague 😕 So it seems my right face is lower and seems longer in length than my left. Is this Right torsion? Or Right TMCC? Would an Osteopath or Physio, or Osteo with Craniosacral be more recommended for this? And what type of questions can we ask to ensure they are the right one to help? Is there such a thing as a Left TMCC …

If you have assymetries such as uneven eyes cheekbones slanted lip etc you need to get NCR therapy done it's a combination of body and skull chiro which includes endonasal balloon up your nose. 4- 20 session required for results. Add ALF block to expand the jaw to maximise the results. The Mike was sort of dropped before the torsion explanation wasn't it. Maybe because it's a hairy more serious place. His videos tend to avoid scenarios or depth of pathology that involve heavy neuro/ sensory concepts and discussion.

Conor, I have an urgent question about left sidebend. Do you think someone can get their cranial bones back to neutral from a left sidebend with PRI exercices and without doing anything extensive like orthodontics/surgery? My concern is that because the teeth change position, it might not be possible to get that midline back to neutral. Also, how can I tell a left sidebend strain from a left torsion? Please get back to me on this.
@zaynmalice7106

I would imagine you won't get a reply because this is such a complex area and super specific case-to-case. As someone else going through it, take all the shortcuts you can get e.g. the insoles, dental splint, optics if they help. Yes, they're expensive, but if they can keep you relatively neutral and let your body reorganize itself a bit better, they pale in comparison to the price and permanence of surgery. I'm in right torsion, but my jaw/cranial presentation almost opposite to R TMCC, we think because I've been on the right side so long I've chronically compressed my teeth on the right, changing how my jaw contacts. Without a splint/orthodontic, I only have like two teeth in contact and a less than optimal airway. The airway is absolutely everything, you're swimming upstream doing PRI drills to try and get neutral, when you don't have an airway. In this vein, I've had some anecdotal improvements doing orthotropic work like mewing and breathwork to improve on A. my physical airway and B. quality of breath, use of air etc. I *think* with better breathing, CO2 tolerance etc you calm down the vagus nerve, shift to a more parasympathetic state more readily and gain a bit more pliability with patterns etc. Has made a big difference to my posterior mediasteinum expansion and thoracic rotation to the left.

Neal Hallinan keeps emphasizing that "you could do all the exercises in the world, if you don't address vision and teeth, your success is limited ". I partially disagree with the statement. physically applying the right exercises is a huge part of the treatment process, and when introducing the dental/visual interventions the techniques should be again performed with them.
