In this stunning cycling video, we'll take you on a journey from Muir of Ord in the Scottish Highlands up to the Orrin Reservoir Dam, through Gleann Goibhre, and past Loch Ballach and Lochan Fada. This gravel cycle takes us through some of the most picturesque parts of Scotland, showcasing the natural beauty of the area.
As we start our journey, we'll ride through the small town of Muir of Ord, known for its historic railway station and vibrant community.
If you're a whisky enthusiast, make sure to visit the Glen Ord Distillery, located in Muir of Ord, and learn about the production of this famous Scottish spirit.
From there, we'll head up to the Orrin Reservoir Dam, an impressive structure that provides water to the surrounding area. Along the way, we'll cycle through Gleann Goibhre, a peaceful valley that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills.
As we continue on our route, we'll pass by Loch Ballach and Lochan Fada, two stunning bodies of water that are a haven for wildlife. The crystal-clear waters and stunning scenery provide the perfect backdrop for a relaxing cycle ride.
Our journey then takes us through the village of Struy, where you are able to experience the warm hospitality of the locals and sample some delicious Scottish cuisine. From there, we'll head along Strathglass, a picturesque valley that follows the River Glass. The views are nothing short of breathtaking, with towering mountains and lush greenery as far as the eye can see.
Finally, we'll follow the River Beauly back to Muir of Ord, taking in the stunning scenery along the way. This peaceful route is the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the Scottish Highlands.
This gravel cycling route is not for the faint of heart, but for those up to the challenge, it offers an unforgettable experience. So, grab your bike and come join us for a day of adventure and natural beauty in the Scottish Highlands.

I went Struy to Srath a' Bhàthaich yesterday. 67km with camping gear. Weather was terrible and those huge water sections were a real pain.

Does no one have poached egg on sourdough these days?😂 Nice ride👍 32mm all the way on road but probably a requirement on our country lanes.

Learn how to improve your whisky experience - just add a little water. Learn how to improve your Go pro mount - just add a little thread locker or nail varnish on the screw threads. Looking forward to taking in these views without the screech of brakes (electric unicycle). 👍🏻

I'm not sure the route ever really dries out. When you get your MTB there is a route you can do from Drumindorsair behind Beauly, onto the route you were on and then singletrack back down to Auchderson, with a bit of road in between. Save it for when there has been a dry spell though...

I think the mtb will open up a lot more of the area. The gravel bike was struggling in places. Good tips thank you

Might be a tad drier in summer, I was just think lots of openness and a lack of trees so I take it Frank found one of the few. Though his sensors would avoid it, hope he’s okay.

I heard after that it can be just as wet on that trail in the summer, too! At least there were no midges in February 😆
