Actually, I've met a few men who stuck by their wives... But we have to realise how incredibly difficult it is for a man. Let's not take the attitude that is unreasonable for aan to feel that way. Imagine how most women would feel if a man couldn't work due to fear of people. Or couldn't be affectionate at all 😢

I admire your commitment to her. I went I to a marriage with a lovely woman who had primary vaginismus. She has no history of sexual abuse. Her gyno, friends/family, and counselors we saw all had neutral to negative reactions. We overcame it after six years, had 6 good years, and then spent another six years breaking up over all the hatred and distrust she learned in those first six years towards all "authorities," as well as her inability to make friends or trust other women to share with emotionally. I hope you are able to make things work for the sake of your daughter. It took initiating a separation to get my wife to take things seriously, but I didn't have a kid (obviously) to consider, so I don't necessarily recommend trying that. Good luvk to you.

@@JasonJrake this is sad to hear and I admire your understanding and dedication. Were u guys able to heal this condition or did u break up due to all the emotional turmoil that followed afterwards? U mentioned their were 6 years.

@@anitaknight3915 we did work through it and we're even trying to have a baby at one point, but yes the stress and setbacks getting to that point caught up with us when other challenges presented themselves. I replied to you with more details in another post just a few minutes ago, which hopefully will be useful info to you. I know I find it cathartic to read these stories and know we weren't the only people who went through this 😭😥😇. I hope you find the spiritual tools to help you be okay with yourself as you are, and to expand toward the ways you'd like to be different. Thanks also for asking questions, telling someone else what I've been through takes a weight off of my heart I don't know was still there.

I am so grateful for you to have the courage and candor to feel comfortable sharing your experiences with me. You give me hope and help me feel less alone, less shame. I would agree with you that oddly enough the worst part of this is dealing with it internally psychologically by yourself when even the obgyn medical professionals/psyc like you said aren't even compassionate or knowledgeable and brush it off as if it's either all in your head, not that serious, oh just relax or push yourself harder, or demand you had to have either been sexually assaulted/raped/abuse, or can't relax or have bad fearful views on sex. To make matters worse it whittled away at your self esteem and body image. it gave me anxiety about going for pelvic exams or even dating because most men wouldn't understand and be very narcissistic about their needs. I had put the condition on the backburner because I had two car accidents that left me with disabilities and several severe injuries to overcome. Plus like you& your wife, I wanted to save myself for marriage so I wasn't looking to have sex quite yet. To make matters worse I was diagnosed with pcos/endometriosis and had always had severe bleeding painful periods female issues on top of all this nightmarish hell. It's been a very frustrating painful journey, but I always have had the faith and tenacity to want to heal all of this. I felt going to doctors left me worse off and were even more hopeless useless. To hear your thoughts and story as well as these videos mean a lot to me from the bottom of my heart because I didn't even know what was wrong with me or that these issues exist let alone others are going through my exact experiences too. Dear Ms. Jennalove, this video is not a treatment manual but rather what vaginismus is about. That said, our vaginismus treatment is practical, focused, short-term, and individualized. Therapeutic approaches include any combination of hands-on intervention (inclusive of progressive dilation), sex therapy, counseling, guidance in the areas of self-care and personal hygiene, urogynecologic/sexual care, and patient and partner education. A typical session is approximately 50-55 minutes long, dedicated to one patient at a time. We hope this answers your question.
