The golden years of the Ottoman Empire come to life in a television series. The life of Suleiman the Magnificent is preparing to be a guest in your homes in all its glory. Get ready to experience the era with ambition, loves, wars and all the struggle.
Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.
Şehzade Süleyman, en yakın adamı Pargalı İbrahim ile birlikte çıktığı bir avda alır kötü haberi. Babası Yavuz Sultan Selim Han vefat etmiştir. Şehzade Süleyman hiç beklemeden, İstanbul’a doğru yola çıkar. Şehzade Süleyman hızla payitahta ulaşır. Hiç beklemeden cülus törenine katılır. Bir günde hayatı değişmiş. Sultan Süleyman olarak padişahlık hayatına başlamıştır.
Bu sırada, Karadeniz üzerinden içi köle yüklü bir kadırga, İstanbul’a doğru gelmektedir. Kölelerden en ateşli olanı ise, kaderini değiştirecek olan yolculuğa çıktığının henüz farkında değildir. Geri dönmek için çaresiz bir şekilde isyan etmektedir.
Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

@@annie2736 Bad history may potentially sadly repeat if people don’t learn some lessons from it. I am not sure that modern Turks realise by majority that Ottomans did horrible things in the past, and I get even more nervous when I see people like that person “Deniz” who wrote “we will come back again”.

@@mikevarga6742 Don’t get me wrong, I love Europe.. I like Hungary, my mom lives in Austria and I like Austria, I think it has stunning architecture. I second language is English, which I speak and write very well. So, I also like UK. I also like Romania and Greece, really. I like Scandinavia and Slavic countries that share slavic roots with Serbia (linguistically and genetically to a certain degree). I prefer Europe. I don’t think that European people from countries that recognize Kosovo did bad to us, they didn’t. They are intelligent, cool and nice people, many of them which I talked to. Serbia is and should definitely be with the rest of the Europe, that’s who we are genetically, historically, linguistically and geographically. I just wanted to say that those people in politics who recognize Kosovo and those people who had ruling positions in NATO really did bad to Serbia in 1999, they help Kosovo breakaway from Serbia and recognized it, and even bombed us. It’s not the fault of European people, they are not responsible for those things, I just think that European people which live in countries that recognize Kosovo should do something to make their government revoke Kosovo recognition, because Serbs in Bosnia where they number more than million people according to last census, can’t get independence from Bosnia. Then Albanians in Kosovo shouldn’t get independence from Serbia. It’s just pure logic.

Turks that live in Western look like Greeks, in Eastern look like Armenians, Georgians, Iranians,… that logic btw… there is not really a propaganda in this series (if you want to see propaganda i suggest you to watch 1970s Turkish movies…).

I'm serbian Belgrade is capital sity of Serbia. Serbian people have wery dificult years from 1389 to 1900 because of Turkish people. In 1804 we tried defet Turkish and in 1918 there was not any Turkish people in Serbia. Many serbian people took islam for better posicion. Bosnian people who were sebian before turkish was one of them.
