Thanks for the advice xD! I have thought about getting out of endo. Not because I find the procedures boring... my doctor makes them very fun since we talk and laugh the whole time 😊 but because I really don’t like getting out late 😬 BUT my doctor pays for our health insurance and most ortho places don’t do that. And we get paid similar to ortho as well . AS FOR GENERAL DENTISTRY... keeping track of all the dental procedures is very stressful to me ... and I don’t want to go to a place that will treat me bad because of it :/

Oh snap! The fastest we have ever done a rct is 50 min. And that was only because we were doing 6 handed dentistry xD!! That’s a really impressive time though. Thanks for giving me an insight 😉

Its not that they forbid us from having a lunch. They don’t block out a time for it, but they still expect us to take one when we can. Basically its at the employees discretion when to take it, but sometimes we just don’t have time ;-;

Awe! Well it all just depends I guess on the doctor too. We use this fancy irrigation machine called Gentlewave before we fill the canals... so that adds like 20 min to the procedure 😅 You will be fine though! Ask for that nitrous if you’re nervous 😉

@@MelanieLunaDiaz haha thanks. I’m not so sure if my dentist offers nitrous, but I think I’m ok bc my dentist is good and always makes sure I’m comfortable. Either way the whole thing about nitrous oxide and infertility😬, I think imma pass on that😂

Oh sorry!! I meant long exposure to nitrous (like for more than 5 hours every single day) is dangerous. If you use it for a procedure here and there, you should be fine 😅 I should’ve made that more clearer sorry 😓 But thats good that your dentist cares about your comfort 💕

What she said! I honestly don’t know. But I assume hourly so that if you put in over time, you will get paid more. If you just get a salary, you will get the set amount even if you put in over time. Congratz on almost graduating!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳

Hey congrats!! Honestly, memorization helped me learn the procedures. Also hands on stuff too! Watching fillings during my externship and reciting the steps in my head is what did it for me. HOPE THAT HELPED :D

Hey there! Good question. So all you need is your RDA certificate and a little experience in general dentistry to become an Endodontic Assistant 😊 and there are different ways to get your RDA certificate. You could go to a 12-16 week dental assistant school near you (what I did) OR You can take an online course, or maybe your college has a dental assistant program (but those take longer to complete and generally cost more money)

@@psychopsycho837 I mean like a minimum of 1 year working at a general dentistry place :) I only worked 8 months in GD and was still able to land a job in endo ^.^ and as far as I have seen, there is no specific endo school. It is enough just with an RDA liscence 😁
