which denomination? I was Protestant in Germany (lutheranism) until December when I converted to Catholic.

@@karlheven8328 Yes, I'm in the Midwest, and it is mostly Protestant, but there are a significant amount of Catholics. My city is a very religiously diverse place. We have a large Muslim population from the Sudanese refugees that live here and we also have Catholic refugees from Vietnam and central America.

This ceremony isn't Biblical! One of the first commandments given to Adam and Eve is to multiply and replenish the earth 🌎. God's children need to be born and receive bodies for resurrection! Sexual functions are natural for the reproduction of children to married loving couples! There is no such thing as perfection in this life ❗️They perform this ceremony all around the world, lots of young women marrying Jesus Christ, this is polygamy! None of this is Biblical. It would be better for her to fall in love and marry a righteous man and have children so they can have bodies for resurrection. Children in the world 🌎 need good parents that love ❤️ God! It's not normal for people to give up on love in life , this is why we have been given marriage between a man and a woman! This is polygamy! Every Nun is married to Jesus Christ 🙏🏻 this practice is not in the Bible at all! Catholics practice many traditions that are not Biblical at all ! Including taking a vow of chastity, that's not in the Bible either ❗ In fact one of the very first comments that's given to Adam and Eve, is to multiply and replenish the Earth 🌎 so God's children could be born and receive bodies for resurrection! Praying to Mary, counting rosary beads, and getting baptized with sprinkles of water 💦 are not in the Bible either ❗

It’s Diocese of Lafayette in Indiana. Bishop Doherty. Not very traditional. This bishop doesn’t even allow the TLM in the diocese, unfortunately. Please pray for him.

It is our Parish Cathedral. It is a faithful parish. We try to do the best NO we can. This was obviously a Diocesan Mass/event and done very well at our Cathedral.

​​@@MatthewLewis-fo1exSounds like my church. Our priest is seemingly conservative but he lets laymen give out hand communion😢. Makes me sad because other than that for a NO it is well and orderly.

​@@karlheven8328i think you shouldn't be dismissing or boxing people like that, or treating something that is small "t" as a big "T" or dogmatic. Laymen giving out hand communion is allowed. If the parish and priest are reverent, and the community is thriving and growing, we should give thanks and celebrate small wins. Keep improving for sure, but we shouldn't be dismissing the many wins and only look at the few/one negative. If you ain't happy with laymen giving out hand communion, then talk to the priest and parish council, but do it with a merciful heart, and know that it's a slow and long game. And maybe he's only 1 priest?

@@IsabellaN777 I don't know what you are talking about regarding your first sentence. Yes, laymen giving out hand communion is allowed. But I've been at both NO and TLM masses with normal communion being the standard. It makes the experience so much better. When hand communion becomes the standard and you are the only one kneeling down it is a very depressing feeling given that this is all due to the practical encouragement and could change instantly if you just let the communion take place before the altar and not almost in the middle of the hall which is problematic in itself. And then the laymen should be properly dressed and by the side of the priest and a large kushion on the floor so that it is truly done in a devout way... That should be the standard as many parishes do that already anyways. The form of the eucharist being conducted is paramount for a deeper inner religious life. I was Protestant two months ago I just converted in Germany (but have been going to mass regularly before) Being protestant and catholic should feel distinctly different!

You are right, God has done all for us for sure. Some choose to live in a much deeper union with Jesus in this world and not wait for death to attain that certain closeness... A bride of Christ, one foot in the grave bro , an inspirational yes to God from this beautiful woman , imagine the gifts God gives to the world through her yes and sacrifice which is so Christ like as she gives herself completely, I couldn't imagine any of her family will not see heaven because of it for starters 🙏😊

Unfortunately, few men and women are entering religious life. The numbers of priests, nun and sisters is at an all time low in the US and Europe.... The average age of a sister is mid 70s , with religious orders dissolving due to few members
