"WASHINGTON (AP) - A political action committee that helps Republicans get elected to Congress is doing the unusual - spending more than $450,000 to defeat a GOP incumbent. That incumbent, conservative two-term Rep. Bob Good, R-Va., voted to remove former Rep. Kevin McCarthy as House speaker last fall.
It's just the latest example of how money is flowing into races involving some of the eight Republican lawmakers who voted along with Democrats to oust McCarthy. About $3.3 million has been spent on ads in the Virginia race going into Friday, according to the media tracking firm AdImpact."

I hate everything about superpacs. I don't like McCarthy. I don't like using dark money to take out political rivals. But i find myself rooting for him against Gaetz. And Gaetz has even done a few things I like (defended AOC, some effort to get money out of politics) But i just find his personality so obnoxious that I want to see him get humbled

I used to always write in my favorite candidates instead of voting for the lesser of two evils. I agree with the principle behind it - voting our conscience is real democracy, as opposed to going along with whoever the media tells us is winning in the polls and is more on our side of the political spectrum. Then along came Drumpf. Now I always vote for the most popular candidate who is not a MAGAt. Voting is simpler these days.

We need to split the two parties apart, legally. Like, no party can control more than 40% of the House or Senate, and/or incumbent President's party cannot hold more than 30% of either House of Congress. Force them to split apart into two parties of far right and neo-cons, while neo-libs and progressives can finally break and give progressives a chance of making some changes. Oh or what about no ads by the incumbent in any federal election

How exactly is Defending Main St PAC, Conservative or Defending real Main St, if they are Defending McCarthy a member of the Uniparty, who helped Democrats raise Rents & Food prices by 30% & caused Real Wages to DECLINE 39 Months Straight, therefore Poverty has DOUBLED & Child Poverty rate more than DOUBLED in 3 Years.
