"They can see so many votes slipping away to Reform UK."
The Huffington Post's Kevin Schofield says the Conservative Party has had "their head in their hands" since Nigel Farage entered the campaign.
Mike Graham and Kevin Schofield discuss the challenges facing the Conservative Party in light of Nigel Farage's decision to stand in the upcoming general election. They debate the potential for an alliance between the Conservatives and Farage post-election, as well as concerns about voter apathy due to the lack of novelty in the election and the parties' tendency to prioritize taxes.

@NoNeed2No expert on economics are we? Migration was always going to explode if we removed FOM, shopping for labour in the 3rd world means lower salaries permenant instead of transitory workers and loads more dependants. Net migration isn't a tap you can turn on and off its caused by economic pull factors such as lack of investment in training your domestic workforce, wage suppression over 14 years in public services, lack of regulation on zero hour and outsourcing. Brex1t didn't address any of this hence the train wreck, you got what you voted for take some responsibility

QUOTE: "The country is not just the land mass. It's the spirit held in the hearts of the people." - Connor Tomlinson, For the people calling the rest of the country Far Right this quote captures the sentiment "We The People" in the UK are fighting for. Whether you stand with us or against us it's a thing to recognise.

we tried Libertarian economics with Liz Truss it didn't go well quote Kwasi Kwarteng made the right decision in swiftly cutting taxes, Nigel Farage said, dealing a blow to global economic institutions which have warned against the economic policy.

If the tories stood down in Asfield, Clacton and Great Yarmouth then there's three seats for Reform straight away.

If new Labour stood down in Clacton it would remain Tory, I will wager the lib Dems will have more seats in parliament than the Reform company, Reform is the Tory party ultra right wing, Farage is an ultra right Tory, neo nazi, a plastic patriot, one of the biggest causes of this nations downfall into oblivion , not the cure, he is a fervent advocate of Trump and the USA ultra right wing Republican party, how can anyone beso dumb as to believe a word Farage says, he is for private>station of the NHS, has no clue of how to solve the economical crisis partly caused by him and brexit. He is an admirer of Thatcher, Trump, ( a proven rapist, pervert, liar and convicted felon) Putin and Hitler, he blames wrongly all the ails of the nation on immigration, wants to ban the Home Office, and his company would beat disaster at foreign policy, can anyone seriously think the USA Democratic party, or the EU would deal with him, this is the man that people want as Prime minister.

"to see if they can do any better" when everyone knows that they will only make it all worse. The historic ups and downs of a 2-party system. The labour party will inflict so much more damage that will take decades to fix yet everyone is diving off the lemming cliff. It needs a shake-up.
@SB-qm3bf

The 2 major parties will put taxes up regardless. But Labour will increase taxes more than the tories. Plus Labour will crash the economy and interest rates will sky rocket and put them back up at the 1980's rates of 11/12%

In Reeve we will have a Chancellor that has a proper economics degree from the LSE and has worked for the BOE, as well Torsten Bell a leading UK economist has been parachuted into a safe seat. What you will see is the end of trickle down which is blighting the UK economy

Even if the Reform vote doesn't translate into seats in parliament, they will spend the next 5 years building up local branches and winning council seats. If there are strong local parties with competent activists, they may be able to win the next election.
