The international art family has no boarders and needs no passports... everyone with eyes and souls understands their common language. Beautiful clip, soothing music and narration.

Considering what happened in 1930s in Japan and what Japanese Country did to their neighboring countries. I wonder how GB "acquired" the scroll during the tormenting time.

You forgot to mention how old is the scroll, exactly? Is it from the 1930's or the 1800's?
@shayaanmannan23424 жыл бұрын
its believed to be either late 1700's or early 1800's, but its definitely from the edo period so it falls within that time frame

The color does not match the picture, it is better to match it with a bitter gold, and I am disappointed by the lack of artistic sense.
@raaf46783 жыл бұрын
I don't agree at all. Had bitter gold been used there hardly would have been any contrast with the sides and the painting would not have stood out. Also the blue colour comes back in the painting, therefore it is not disturbingly contrasting, and this type of colour to me gives the scroll as a whole a bit more grandeur.

Although technically proficient, aesthetically the remounting is rather uninteresting in a “modern” style, omitting the ichimonji and futai and other elements of classical Japanese scroll mountings. I can only suppose the painting is a modern one from the early 20th century.
