Anche prima..... tipo a scuola.... gli insegnanti di lingue, dovrebbero parlare fluentemente Italiano e di madrelingua inglese, per poterla insegnare al meglio

Ho iniziato privatamente alle elementari con "The pen is on the table", alle medie abbiamo iniziato a studiare inglese con "The pen is on the table"; al liceo abbiamo ripreso daccapo con "The pen is on the table". Ora, superati gli "anta", so dire abbastabza bene "The pen is on the table".

Ciao sono un tuo nuovo iscritto e ritengo questo canale veramente utile. In questo video hai detto la stessa cosa che mi hanno insegnato ad un corso di chitarra: l'importanza di sviluppare la memoria muscolare. L'istruttore mi diceva che un esercizio è memorizzato quando lo si riesce a suonare 10 o 20 volte di seguito senza sbagliare. Facendo così si sviluppa la memoria muscolare, le dita andranno da sole, in automatico, e non sarà più necessario pensare e ricordarsi a memoria tutte le note da fare che porterebbe solo a fare degli errori. Lui aveva detto una grande verità nel suo contesto e tu me ne hai dato conferma per l'apprendimento dell'inglese. Grazie, cercherò di seguire tutti i tuoi video fino in fondo.

Ho 65 anni e per vari motivi non sono riuscita ad imparare l'inglese, è il mio più grande desiderio, ma purtroppo non riesco a memorizzare, lei è bravissimo, grazie.

Io di anni ne ho 75 e da circa un anno ho ripreso a.studiare inglese. Naturalmente lo avevo studiato a scuola, ma si parla di 50 anni fa. All'inizio e' stata dura, non tanto per la grammatica quanto per i vocaboli che proprio come te non riuscivo a memorizzare. Studiavo 2/3 ore al giorno perche' con il lockdown non potevo uscire. Ora a distanza di un anno e nella stessa situazione continuo a studiare, ma riesco finalmente a ricordare molto di piu' le parole ( ci vuole costanza e tanta pazienza ma non mi scoraggio). Da qualche mese ho anche iniziato a leggere dei libri in inglese ( sono dei gialli. Ed. Demetra .La collana si chiama "l'inglese in giallo" primo e secondo livello. Mi sono anche divertita a tradurre Piccole donne aiutata dal fatto che conoscevo bene il testo in italiano. Per strada traduco ogni cartellone pubblicitario con testo in inglese ( sono la maggioranza). Ora sono abbastanza soddisfatta per la comprensione, un po' meno per la lingua parlata ( ma per fortuna o sfortuna ho tanto tempo. Ho perso mio marito 2 anni fa. Quindi non ti scoraggiare per la memoria, continua a.insistere e vedrai che andra' meglio. Auguri.

Ahaha fantastic video! I actually have a list in my phone of words / sentences that I hear from my english friends and that I didn't know before... I decided that every day at work I would have learned a new word so I really focused on how they speak and which words they use, and every time I ask them to explain it to me. My list is getting longer and I do remember all of them because I remember them using it and explain it to me (laughing doing so as well). This is the same thing that happen with your lesson... when I speak I correct myself because I remember you teaching this and that. So I think it's also a matter of "try to focus on how english people speak and learn new words, not only understand them... but really put attentions on their words and ASK if you don't know the meaning or reason of using it". I love your lessons, you could even teach how to learn new words incredible!! And in a funny and simple way (: I agree with your method, it definitely works!

I have been living in England for 2 years but now that I have started understanding most of everyday situations and I have learned the most important words I have started to become very lazy in learning and using new words. I can agree 100% with your idea about the muscle memory. Im a teacher of dance and every day need to repeat to my students: repeat the step again and again until your feet learn it. Even when you tend to forget the step your feet don't forget it and will help you to remember.

Non serve a nulla tradurre le canzoni..hanno spesso dei significati diversi da quello che dovrebbero avere.. Pensa di tradurre in inglese una canzone di Vasco Rossi..provaci e poi capirai come mai imparerai poco traducendo le canzoni.. Imparerai qualche parola ma niente di più

Dear Joe, I think that more and more adults individuals will become aware of the damages that the Covid 19 pandemic will be causing to the their muscle memory. Hopefully the majority will get it back very fast. Some jobs are very demanding and lack of exercise can be a real problem.

How many languages can you speak? Did you try to study and remember words in Japanese or Korean? Not easy as English, French or German

@Viva Trailer hi friend. The method of the professor Jo can be applied to every language. I agree it is great. What I mean is that when you are young is easier to memorize words in languages you are studying. When you get older is more difficult. Furthermore in Korean there are at least 160 or more grammar rules that you can't find in English or French. While in English/French and even in German 3000 among words and verbs (more in German) are enough to start an easy conversation, in korean you need to memorize at least three/four times more. The construction of the sentence does not follow sometimes any logic and the verb is always at the end as in German language. Spoken language for instance watching their "drama" (fictions) or movie, are more complicated than written language, because they join and cut words. As in German. A word can have few different meanings because korean comes may be 50%, from Chinese. In Chinese same word, different writing, different tone means different meaning. I think that thanks to my past job I can speak and read English and French and I can also get by in German, but korean is unbelievable and a very, very beautiful and exciting language.

Thanks for your advice. Some time ago I used the post it to learn the name of the things in the bathroom....all my bathroom was covered of post it! Mirror bathtub sink shower....but not really intelligent solution because after the shower the value cancelled the ink 😜 ! I’m following your advice thanks a lot 🤗

La Puglia ti fa molto molto bene: ti regala un tocco di simpatia in più che rende il subscribe davvero piacevole, oltre che utile. "Well done" Jo. Ma come hai fatto in soli 12 anni a imparare non solo la lingua ma pure l'accento - leggermente pugliese - così bene? E' sufficiente solo vivere in un luogo e parlare con i locali? Si dice che da adulti non si possa imparare l'accento straniero ma tu l'hai fatto. Racconta i tuoi trucchi per imparare lingua + accento italiano, applicabili per noi all'inglese ;) Bellissimo canale :)

Ottimo suggerimento 👍 proprio ieri guardavo la mia cucina e cercavo di dire gli oggetti, molti li avevo in mente, ma non li ricordavo perchè non li uso quasi mai "parole che ho in mente". Sei davvero molto bravo a spiegare, avessi avuto un docente come te ora sarei meno in difficoltà quando devo dialogare in inglese.

Hi you are very able to explain! To learn words ,I search the words with the same root or I figure that a word has a sound as the meaning : for exemple : to sob ( for me sob is the sound of singhiozzo 🤣)
