Hands down best “professor” on KZfaq. He knows the game like nobody else. Because of your videos I got 16 wins for the first time …2 weeks in a row . I was a 14 wins player maximum. This week I got 16 with 1 game left to play. I tried the 17th win just to prove myself but I couldn’t. I’m also able to hold 800-820 SR, can get past it, but I don’t drop to less than 800 , this is for the past 3 weeks. Thanks a lot ! Looking forward to do my first 20-0 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Yo really impressed with your content. I am glad you put such a focus on mentality and people who complain need to realize this. Game can't be scripted while pro's go 20-0 every week. There is something that makes the difference but I have not seen any other youtuber mention it like you have.

Its a tough skill! Takes a lot of time / practice and in game "timing." Every scenario is a little bit different, what I recomend is watching my gameplay and asking why I do what I do and try and analyze it. But watch it back 20x because there are little details, for instance, which foot I am dribbling with, if I am sprinting or not etc

Definitely agree with you that mentality matters in the close games. My weakness is anxiety when I play really good players 😂
@JohnSims_
@JohnSims_ 23 күн бұрын
Even in matches where you go up 3 goals, your mentality can challenge you. This is where If I concede 2/3 goals early. I wont quit out and I will slowly edge my way back to winning matches. A TON of my 20-0 runs are NOT perfect at all and I am very close to losing focus. They may hit 2/3 ariel+ headers from early corners, but we GRIND back. Anxiety & composure is EVERYTHING for the full 90

@JohnSims_ yes, totally agree with you. I have played opponents who are 2 or 3 nil up against me, and they bottle in the 2nd half when I pressure them. But some players I face seem to play like Anders 😂, so only my respect to them.

Yes its quite common. You are most likely at their level as you jsut reached elite. Your SR shouldnt be brought in higher than someone that has been in elite for a week. Hopefully this makes sense, ultimately youll drop SR the later you enter based off of skill level

Bro I drink all the time, I might be while in this video itself. But what Im saying is know your cognitive performance capabilities, know when you are sharp & when you arent. Dont play when youre not in a proper cognitive state it will only harm you. Most people arent playing competitive FC while also drinking, but the hangover can hit you just the same on your performance. I can tell you from my own experience, I can tell my mental acuity the moment I wake up. Its a weird thing, I didnt learn it for FC, but stumbled on it from taking some Psychology classes in college. My video isn't here to say "stop drinking" but more be aware of your cognitive state and understand that we all face challenges in our lifestyles that affect our gameplay and we just have to be okay with that. The "pros" try to play on Friday's so they go out and enjoy their weekends without this affecting them. So to go 20-0, you might be in a good cognitive state for that weekend, but the next weekend you go 14-6. This doesn't mean you aren't a 20-0 player, just means you're not a 20-0 player at that moment. This is my biggest challenge is the consistency of my mental state.

Long time follower don't mean to be negative so take it the best way possible - You overcomplicate things. You tell us it's simple but there must be a phd worth in all your videos put together. N that's fair if that's what it takes to be that good; but then u tell us its a simple game all the time. Have you heard of the Pareto principle more commonly known as 80-20 rule? 80% of outcomes results from 20% of causes. In trying to improve at anything terms, 80% improvement will come from 20% concepts/ mechanics. All concepts aren't equally contributing to the improvement, some will contribute much more than others. Would love to know if you have a weighted rank order of sorts in your mind. Again, since this is free, thanks a lot for trying to teach us. 🙏 Apologies if harsh.
@JohnSims_
@JohnSims_ 22 күн бұрын
You are not harsh, but living by a principle is more for an organized brain to learn from. I find percentages very skeptical because percentages are usually a result of a guess. Its impossible to know an exact result. If you believe that only 20% of my content is effective, couldnt you argue that if you condense my content down to 20%, then only 20% of that 20% is then effective? Then 20% of that 20% is effective and so on? This is where these principles lose me. Because, the concept of ranking changes perspective to perspective. My content is based off of multiple area's. If I am coaching a div4 player versus coaching myself it will be way different. Every player will have their own "pareto principle" as they develop. My principle will be Significantly different than another. So the question isnt what I would rank learning, but where your flaws are. You could be pro level mechanics & have 0 game theory or game of wit. This is the whole purpose of my bootcamp that will be coming out. I strongly recommend looking into this when it drops. Thank you for taking the time always love hearing principles & theories. I love psychology & productivity concepts. Instead of a ranking: Focus on these: - Defensive structure - Player switching & Tackling Timing - Attacking space - Dribbling & passing mechanics - Vision Hope this helps!
@painless4785
@painless4785 22 күн бұрын
@@JohnSims_ I agree with everything you said. Just to clarify, it doesn't mean 20% is effective, it means 20% will be most effective in that it will bring 80% of the improvement for a given skill level. And yes, the 80-20 principle is indeed a moving target. Starting at skill level x , the 20% that would cause the most improvement would be different than skill level y. I don't understand why it should 'lose you' though - we understand this about any like principle. The point is, as someone trying to improve, how would I know which is in my realm of 20% and which is not that important at my skill level? Easy mechanical example would be - I wouldn't teach player locking and creative runs to my brother who still doesn't know what all the buttons in the game do. If I did they could focus the whole game on that and it wouldn't matter because they didn't know they had to press X to ground pass. But anyone who's here watching your videos will obviously not be at that low of a skill level. So you can make an educated guess as to the average level of your audience given the above and on the other end the fact that pro players aren't looking for free YT content to get better, they'll probably hire you or someone as the 20% in their case is usually very specific and highly specialised. If we say your audience is >90% Div 4-Div1 the question becomes does the 20% look extremely different for this range of players? If it does, you could specify what concept you're teaching would 'generally' be more useful for what level of player. If it doesn't, then the 20% isn't vastly different for this range of skill level and you should be able to rank order or at least say what's 'most important' (which you kind of have - appreciate it) to build on. If the permutations of player and specific skills can vary approaching infinity within this range, then it's not a simple game, and a meta dunning-kruger effect in that you overestimate how much you know about how much people don't know. I know you love these principles and theories since I'm a big fan of psychology and game theory too. The point isn't trying to pigeonhole percentages, it's just feedback that 'hey - I didn't understand what i'm supposed to take away from this, thought you said this was simple' which may be 100% a skill issue on my end. But that's the whole point.
@JohnSims_
@JohnSims_ 18 күн бұрын
Of course brother we are on the same page 100% I get where you are coming from. So I guess I haven't really clarified the organization of my content. It's very tough to pin point because everyone is different but yes, div 4 players have similar issues. I'm making my bootcamp to organize everything and you'll understand it more. But right now, I have my div 4 sessions and div 1 coaching sessions them my personal gameplay is based off of a top 100 player mindset for those who reach elite. I believe what you're really asking is to organize the content based off of what a div 4/div1 player is supposed to focus versus an elite. We will be dropping these. Appreciate you're effort in this and your viewership apologies if I come off defensive 🙏

This is pretty common right now brother. As we are in "End game." Div2 is a pretty good, but when it comes to champs, there is a lot of players that only play champs and have been playing for a decade. Game isnt impossible, it is hard, but its actually very simple. I try to show how to make it simple. Keep tuning in, asking questions and I got you!

@@JohnSims_ Your content has helped me a lot, but I still have difficulty creating plays, I feel like a person who just defends the entire game and can't attack, sometimes when I can be more present in the attack I see the opponent win the game with 1 or 2 attacks while I take more than 15 shots on goal, I no longer know where I need to improve to improve

what i find really weird is youtube fifa creators play so different compared to pro scene. I see you utilise alot of incisive through balls and those are rarely done in pro scene. Yoshii, another 20-0 yter just goes wide then recycles back in and it works every time.
@JohnSims_
@JohnSims_ 23 күн бұрын
I use incisive passing & creative runs. But no one uses creative runs or the incisve passing. Tbh, I have been using these since FIFA21. I know yoshii, sure go wide then recycle is what I call the "lvl2/lvl3" attack. Its just hard to defend and most of the community doesnt understand how to defend it. But truth be told, its a game of speed if you play me on that vs a game of wit. Ill see it coming, but its more of will you break through/glitch through or will I be able to pinch that position? My focus is on being deceptive in passing, I can still attack those locations and do the lvl3 recycle. But tbh my flaw in my game is that I play with too much risk on attack and I dont pull back because of my confidence level on being deceptive.
@Mosalud
@Mosalud 22 күн бұрын
"Deceptive passing" and also actually pressing the pass button at the right time and really quickly (or press pass same time as when you finally decide to commit to making the pass) is the hardest thing to do for me. 😮
