This TV series is the most phenomenal adaption I have ever seen. Incredible levels of detail. As a life long fan this almost instantly become one of my favourite shows of all time. That 1st episode was more than enough and it was all uphill from there. SO GOOD

@@logana1999 They did not rip anything from Wasteland.. sure they got inspiration from it.. like they had inspiration from 100s of other things.. books, movies, real life events... Fallout is a whole different animal. Tim and Leonard are Fallout.... Bethesda kept the image of Fallout.. but lost the Heart of it. And it had success of course, because most people these days...are only interested in the "Image".

@@v4v777 Even Tim Cain himself has said he would've gone a completely different direction with the series than anyone else. he didn't want a sequel to Fallout 1; he wanted to explore other countries. He was instrumental in creating the first game, but I wouldn't say he "is" Fallout or has to be involved in anything Fallout related. Heck, he left Fallout 2 early in development due to creative differences.

@@tiortedrootsky I agree that it is quite hard to satisfy the fans of games. Especially with the range of how close directors stick to the source. And many, including me, were more dissapointed than happy with the final product. But this also depends on personal taste and how deep you are invested yourself. For example I played all the Uncharted games and enjoyed the movie because for me it displayed the core idea of treasure hunting from the games. But then again I like treasure hunting in movies and games likewise. So let's see what they make out of Fallout.

Visually everything looks mostly right. Could nitpick some things that don't really matter. Tone seems on-point from the little bits of the show we've seen in the trailers so far. Cautiously optimistic this could be good, but I'm still going to brace myself in case it's as awful as Hollywood adaptations typically are.

So far, I haven't heard anything about how it has a "strong, independent female lead," or how it's made for "modern audiences," or about the "diversity of the cast and crew." It seems like they really like the IP and wanted to tell a story with it. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Not happening - Starfield's DLCs are being made, and Elder Scrolls 6 is also in development. Fallout 5 is something we won't be seeing until at least 2030, likely longer.

Painfully obvious that it's going to have a tongue and cheek, more funny than brutal vibe to it. Squaky clean type of Fallout marketed at the masses. It's going to have the emotional depth of a American action movie, filled with corny one liners like that ''That's a small drop in a big bucket of drugs'' line from the trailer. Could still end up being an entertaining ''popcorn movie'' type show.

@@Johnspartan296 They haven't de-canonized them, but you can see in this video that they've based all of the details on things that Bethesda changed on their own whim, as opposed to how they were originally. This is not really a Fallout TV show, it's a Fallout 4 TV show.
