Villa Consuelo is, together with Villa Juana and Villa Francisca, one of the three neighborhoods that emerged after the passage of the San Zenón cyclone that destroyed the city of Santo Domingo in 1930. Currently it has become an emblematic sector of the capital dedicated to its majority to trade. It is a historical, social and cultural reference of the development of the Dominican capital.

Waooo Soy Dominicano y no conocia toda esa historia de Villa Consuelo siempre desde nino escuche hablar de ese sector y es Cierto no importa lo que tu necesites siempre decen " Eso tu lo puedes conseguir en Villa Consuelo " Hasta la tapa de un caldero o una ala de un Avion 😅😅

Mi barrio Donde Me Crié Durante Los Años 70 80 y 90 en la Calle Sanchez Valverde con Ana Valverde estudié en el Colegio San Pedro De La Misma Iglesia, Que Esta Frente al parque Braulio Álvarez Cuantas Nostalgias. Cuando Eramos Felices y no Lo Sabíamos.

Amo mi villa con donde mis padres crecieron y donde pase la mayor parte de mi niñez en la Ana Valverde con Jose Valverde.

Según dice la narración, en ese tiempo en Villa Consuelo habían pocas casas y la gente tenía la posibilidad de conseguir terrenos a bajo precio, dice la señora en el minuto 1:15 que su mamá compró un terreno por $2,000 (¿en los años 30?) difícil de creer, yo creo que se pasó 🤔

Pero no mencionó que RTVD está en Villa Consuelo desde su traslado a la capital en el 1950 y pico,

Ya para 1931 , había hospedaje ,de hecho fue hospedaje desde posiblemente antes de de los años 20 ,y para 1930 ya vivían allí mi bisabuela que muere junto con dos de sús hijas en el ciclón de San Zenon ,y ya para 1930 había allí una fábrica de pilones ,mi padre nace ahí ya para 1932 ,en la Ana Valverde
