As of the latest firmware update for this doorbell, it is no longer mandatory to use an indoor station and the doorbell can be used STANDALONE, with only hik-connect.

Is it possible for the intercom to automatically record the call duration when the intercom ring button is pressed? I can only find settings to 'manually' record via the web browser log in. It would be nice to be able to save recorded video when the doorbell button is pressed (I know it automatically does a screen capture) **I'll be hooking this up to my NVR** TIA.

its actualy pretty easy to integrate. Its basically a regular onvif camera with doorcall function so you can integrate JUST the doorstation into HA or anything else without the monitor.

I have problem with two DS-KV6113-WPE1 door station (one is main another is sub) and one DS-KH6320-WTE1/EU indoor station. From time to time sub door station get lost. No matter what outdoor unit I choose to be sub (tried switching them) I always loose sub unit. Tried every combination I could think of (settings, firmware, changing PoE switch...) and seem to be out of ideas. Any kind of help would be appreciated.

Device work great in home network. But when I am outside of home on 4G network, just receive message missing call. Doesnt received a call at 4G network. Normaly work at home wifi and LAN network, but outside doesnt work. Any solutions?

Firmware v2.1.5 build 200904 is standalone. And it is working without the monitor/indoor station even with wi-fi only connection.

There is a sd card but it stores only pictures from who rang the bell. It stores no video or movement detection although there a page for detection.

Hi was wondering whether you could connect this to a 5G network? A dongle...that acts as a wireless internet wifi device. This can get a bit technical, I suggest consulting a gate installer - it's all ELV, so shouldn't need an electrician

If the outdoor unit is connected with a POE switch... is it necessary for another power adapter for the lock? Wont the lock take power from the outdoor unit? Like it does from the hikvision 602 kit?

You can adjust the station ringing volume on the intercom itself (log into the station over web > configuration > video/audio > audio tab). If your using a station, you can adjust the ring volume on there as well (which is the stations internal speaker volume)

I have fitted one of these and use via Poe. It's already paid for itself by preventing an attempted break in, the alarm sounded when it was pulled off the wall. Question....can I add a chime to this, sometimes when my phone isn't near me I miss someone at the door?

In vdp DS-kV6113-WPE1 there is a terminal AIN1 and GRD, with 5v in open condition, to connect door sensor alarm, after connecting a reed swtich door sensor, where to configure alarm, whether alarm will display in Monitor DS-KH6320-WTE1 or in Hikiconnect phone. I have connected a magnetic reed contact on the terminal but no alarm aprears anywhere. Please help

It can be standalone to an extent if you use it with sip which is what I have done. I agree that its a fantastic door bell and it would have been cherry on top if it was standalone

How did you manage that? I set it to SIP and used freepbx. I can get a sip client to ring when pressing the call button on the bank but it won't connect to the call

I even managed to change the call tone on the door station to a "normal doorbell sound" rather than a phone ringing sound. I set the call button to ring a call group and I set the ringtone (alert info) to ringtone six which is a door bell sound

It's been my experience with PoE as long as you use solid copper core cable then a max of 328 ft but there's variables like temperature and UV exposure and UTP vs STP.

Just bought the KV 6113 doorbell and upgraded the firmware. However, I'm losing video after a couple of hours. So when someone calls or when I try to view live view though the app, I have no video. It keeps getting stuck loading around 80%. I googled and see a lot of people have this issue. Is there a fix to this?

What’s that noise it makes after you answer it? Is it just feedback because they’re so close together or will it make that noise when it’s installed? There’s no way I could tolerate that noise with my ear issues!

When I go to add the card to the system, the door station does not come up on the menu as a card reader. Do you know how I can fix this?

jako265 I uninstalled IVMS 4200 and re installed it and then it came up. But I couldn’t get it to read the card, the company I bought it from said it’s not a mifare card that comes with it

The card in the box is mifare. It's temperamental. I've managed to use ivms to add cards at some sites and the same door station, when I connected it to a different pc and ran ivms, it didn't work. It does work if you use the webpage but you can't wait the card once you've added it

@@arapadis currently received a new device with new firmware included. Its like garbage, no live view connection when calling is possible

@@arapadis @Sander Embregts It appears it can be self supported now without the indoor station. (I have not tested this myself and am only going off the release notes) if you have one and it does work, please let us all know. Absolute bollocks that YOU MUST BY the monitor. Stupid decision by this backwards minded but technically great company (in China there are many contradictions, this is one of them!)

@@piplsystems v2.1.5 200904? I find it does not send notifications to HikConnect - so I can't see missed visitors; have you seen any other versions that work fully?
