As an economist, I can say the consumer expectation data is interesting to note. But consumers are very bad at predicting inflation, or their own buying behavior. And the producer price index came below expectations. So I do expect inflation to keep trending down.

@@JohnReynolds-ni5lv Why the insult. The recent bump is likely due to Gaza, and the impact on gas. But the long term trend will continue down since interest rates remain the same.

@@carlkim2577inflation is litterally trending the same direction when they started raising rates... eggs, fuel, electric, chicken, groceries, rent, housing, grain... every exact part is trending the same way when things started to get bad. The same way it was rising before Ukraine and gaza..Gaza...
