The mic test would work a lot better for me if I heard the man speak through it, since I've heard his voice through the normal mic. I don't have a point of comparison for her, since I don't know what she normally sounds like. I can't tell if she normally sounds kinda stuffy/ muffled, or if the mics are doing it. Stay away from the Razer BlackShark V2 Pros. They all break by the cheap plastic holding the bottom of the headband by the earcup. It’s happening very often to many users… mine lasted 5 months

i feel massive discomfort using the arctis, not sure if its the distribution of weight of having a battery on one side, the fact that theres a lot of metal on the unit, or just how tight the band squeezes but after around 2-3 hrs my head would feel so much pain being squeezed for prolonged periods

My Razer BlackShark V2 Pro 2023 Edition headset broke after about 9 months of use. Right ear cup broke off. No rough usage, just normal taking it off and putting it on. I've read it's a pretty common issue.

With those mic tests, could you do a keyboard and mouse click test? it would be nice to see what kind of noise cancelation the headphones have as well as clarity

Something I'm lookng for in gaming headsets is heat/humity factor into wearing them for a long time; you talk about "comfort" but not a single word about "heat" or "humidity". Is that something you could specifically add into your future reviews?

I loved the Astro A30s, the app was great and side tone was perfect in addition to sound. Negatives, the mic can’t be flipped up, the joystick control is easily hit and really cumbersome. But the main reason I returned them was that the top head band barely had padding and really hurt my head and I’m just talking for a few quick cod sessions after diner. Steel series are more comfortable but for consoles the arctis line doesn’t have any app to adjust through a phone, and side tone is basically non existent. I’m digging deeper into the pockets and trying the A50x next.

What about the Logitech G435? Do you think its a good option for a person who only cares about comfort?

If you don’t want to spend $350 on the Nova Pro Wireless, I’d recommend the Arctis 7 wireless for $179.99 It’s the headset I’ve used for the past 2-3 years and it’s amazing. I upgraded to the Nova Pro wireless today and compared the sounds, and they are actually pretty comparable

some things to note on the steel series headset. The earmuff hinges are the absolute worst. Often times they break, causing one of the ear muffs to just dangle there. I had 2 steel series headsets and its happened to me on both headsets.

One thing,on the final mic test in this video she put a pop filter on the mic that is not with the headset from purchase,so you are not showing the bad noises that most if not all Steel series headsets suffer from with a crap mic.

It’s a pity that arctis still implements a retractable mic on his high end headset, i have the old version and i used it A LOT: i destroyed cushins and replaced them, batteries died and i replaced them, headband was a bit loose and i could tighten it, but it’s also replaceable, but the mic’s flexible tube started to crack and patching it made non retractable anymore. The shoul’ve really opt for a detachable mic.

I had to return the Hyper X Alphas today. For some reason they constantly crackle and pop. For the price, you don't expect that.

GO WITH THE PRO X 2 lightspeed! Tried nova pro & TB stealth pro & cloud 3 (Im a Ps5 gamer) nova pro sound was ass, Anc wasnt even good could hear my laptop next to me, mic was ass my friends could hear what was going on in my background. Stealth pro OMG the ANC was extremely Crazy good to the point of where I couldn’t hear anybody ring on the doorbell so i got called up on my phone instead😂 sound was gr8 too, the superhuman was gr8, problem here was i had white noice in them - fun fact i returned them and went with same pair and they also had white noise in them so i went with Pro x 2 lightspeed but all in all they blow the artic nova pro away by a mile

I got the arctis nova 7 last week and I'm returning them today. The audio lag was unbearable, audio cut out often, sonar would randomly stop working, the app to customize audio crashed constantly, and all around quality was not good. Very disappointing, since I tried a floor model in store and when they work, they sound absolutely amazing. I'm hoping I just got a bad set, but I plan on switching to logitech today.

The cloud alpha is not worth it. Not overly comfortable, and they have a tendency to just stop working. Went through 2 of them, and had an awful experience with HyperX’s customer service as well.

Don't get the Razer BS V2 Pro, broke within 2 months of use. After it broke, I found out it is held together by plastic screws. Customer service was horrific and said it was my fault it broke.

got the blackshark for christmas im gonna say its an absolute UTTER downgrade from the earlier iteration of the headset sounds super flat because of the lack of bass but because of that its not immersive and its arguably HARDER to hear where sounds are coming compared to the pre upgrade headset its less comfortable aswell it causes me almost the same headache my oculus vr headset causes me over long wear times which if you own one you know thats HORRENDOUS for a headset theres also A CONSTANT CRACKLING noise whenever sound plays coming from the inside of the headset (this is not a connection issue or bluetooth or whatever its literally the stuff inside of the headset that makes the sound itself i also did not damage it or anything like that it was like that straight out of the box) if youre considering buying anything razer at this point please keep in mind their quality control nowadays its absolutely garbage and headache inducing the only good thing i can say about this headset is that the mic is very clear

I had Artics Nova Pros. I do not particularly like them. They are not nearly as comfortable as something like Razer Blackshark

Just want to say the a30s have a known issue where if you have it connected to PC via dongle and the via Bluetooth to your phone so you can use the g app, the mic is extremely quiet.

Came here to look for another headset, The razer one is uncomfortable af imo. It is always sliding too far open! The max volume is too quiet to be its max altough it sounds good and mic is alright. Sadly mainly came for nr1, Ive had 2 of those and they broke twice at the same right earcup where they connect to the headband frame.

Logitech is amazing. I would like to see the aluminum earcups and removable battery. The removable battery is a killer.

I cant comment on other headphones but after purchasing the hyper x alpha 3 wireless, my positive is the battery is still at 40% since purchase in mid december without charging, but i need to take out and plug in the usb dongle at every boot so the software recognises it.

Dont get me wrong I loved the hyperX Cloud Alphas but after a long time use I've come to say that its my least favorite headset, from the headphone fabric slowing coming off which leaves small black bits around, or or even in the ears. Plugged it in after using it for a family vacation and it was working and stopped working entirely in one ear, over all it sounded nice but would've perfered a better headset

I really wish the nova pros had the ability to change the balance between gaming and chat on the headset like the 9x. Kinda surprised I haven’t heard anyone else mention this… Other than that I’m loving my pros. Completely blown away at how much better I’m able to locate footsteps and other sounds on fps games.

My biggest con for the razer blacksharks is the build quality. I bought them twice and they broke the same way twice

I have these. Amazing headphones, and better than my old Astro a50s overall. But the a50s are more comfortable because these headphones have an anc mic nub sticking out of the inside and after wearing the headset for around 1-2hrs the cushions will compress and your ear will be rubbing against that plastic anc nub in the earcup. To solve this. Grab a pair of wicked cushions frozen and this headset becomes a masterpiece.

I would like to let everyone know that DO NOT BUY the pro x 2 lightspeed headset from logitech, it has way too many issues from day 1, drivers, battery charge, drain too fast, charging problems, noise bleed into a microphone etc. I regret buying this piece of crap, 1st logitech product i regret buying.
